Pacheco to Norwich on loan

Anyone know where he played and in what formation? Looked like left midfield in a 4-4-2?

For the most part.

See his compilation alone. He was involved into 2 goals and could have have few more assists and he could have scored couple himself.

How the **** he didn't get any time with us? He must be a better option than many on our bench.

really wierd one with Pacheco, clearly a talented footballer but why did 2.25 managers at LFC just not seem to rate him at all.

I don't know but when you see this compilation and those few times he was featured with us (he wasn't that bad) you cannot help but feel puzzled.

I think its been a combination of reasons why his career hasnt taken off with us. Rafa clearly rated him but, given his well known views on bringing young players in too early when they're not physically ready, he was never going to bring a 17/18 year old into a struggling team. Especially not one as short and slight as Pacheco. That he got appearances at all in important matches says a lot about Rafa's belief in him imo.

Plus he has spent an awful lot of time away with Spain's underage teams over the last few years - there were several times during Rafa's last seasons when we had injuries and you thought Pacheco might have got a game but he was away at some cup or training camp or the other.

Hodgson just doesnt bring on young players full stop so that was never going to happen.

Now that he's too old for multiple underage squads, he'll be away less. And he's starting to look a bit physically stronger (still short though). You'd hope his chance would come next year but will he wait around having been messed about last summer?

And where would we play him now Suarez is here? One either side of Carroll? Deep behind the two? Im not sure there's an obvious space for him in some of the formations Kenny has been using.

He's still only 20 (recently-turned) and he's also the sort of player - a bit like Benayoun - who's quite tricky to fit into a team.

I like Dani but we're so desperate that we're clinging on the player (rightly or wrongly) that was sent to the lower division and that Kenny atm doesn't even see as a part of his current plans.

It goes to show of how deep we sank and how ****ty squad we have.

Big time changes imo are a must in the summer time.

I think Norwich are exactly the sort of club that we should be loaning him to - they're doing well in The Championship and I'd rather see him in a team that play good football instead of a struggling side.

I find it strange when people say that three managers have overlooked him. Rafa clearly rates him and gave him game time when he was just 17/18. Hodgson is an old cunt who never uses young players, and as for Kenny - who knows.

Looking at Pacheco's passing in the games that I've seen him play, does anyone think he could play centre midfield? Much like an Alonso-type role?

Pacheco looked anything but lazy when given opportunities with us and in those clips of his Norwich debut.
Maybe he was disalussioned with older players always playing **** and getting picked ahead of him?
I know that wasnin the championship but the way he drops deep to link or play through balls is precisely what we have been missing.

Next season I see us playing a fluid 3 behind Carroll, personally Pacheco should be 1 of the 6/7 players we use throughout the season in that 3
