The FA really shouldn't be involved at all - but you know they will.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostCan't defend his actions in this at all, whatever ban he gets he's completely brought this on himself and he's not going to getting any slack from the media over here after this latest transgression and again he's brought that upon himself as well.
As a club we should support him of course but he needs some sort of help as this is far from normal behaviour, I do wonder if there will be some sort of special case made against him by FIFA or the English FA; would be a great story to keep away from England's utter failure over in Brazil
- it's suarez
- the english media/fans will be demanding they take action
- it takes focus away from the shocking world cup
however it opens up very dangerous ground....
lets just say, the FA ban Suarez for 10 games. For something he has done on international duty - well then clubs could in theory then refuse to release any player for international duty for fear that if they did something they could be banned domestically.
i just don't think the FA as much as they would ****ing love too, can get involved.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

yup - it's not pre-meditated, it's not to engineer a move to barca or spain which is completely ridiculous suggestions because if anything doing something like that is more likely to jeopardise a move.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostAye, it's crazy. More than anything else it is completely self-destructive, which makes a mockery of claims that it is 'pre-meditated' or whatever. He is completely losing his mind for a split second, repeatedly. It's obvious he needs help.
Do people think his agent/suarez and barca have thought "the only way we can get this transfer to go through and force liverpool to sell him cheap, is if he goes and bites someone again"
bollocks - if you want to force a move, you become a cunt...you down tools, say your wife hates england, etc etc - you don't go around biting people
it's just pure mental madness - of such i've not seen before in football. Yes there are thugs in the game, who use elbows and bad tackles - i've seen them at every level from the top pro's even down to my weekly 5-a-side game where one lad is always looking to snap someone....
but biting - i've just never seen, certainly not three times by the same player and each time getting more high profile than last
I'm fuming with him for being such a dickhead and letting himself down and also after all the support us LFC fans and the club gave him he's just made a cunt of himself
but i'm also that shocked by it i find myself pissing with laughter of the sheer madnessi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I must admit I think it's all rather amusing too
He BIT someone! Again!! Mad *******
But that's it isn't it? He is actually mad. Maybe not in normal life, but when he plays football, he's not right in the head evidentlyI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

this is where i am at, I had to walk out of my mates house during the england v uruguay game as the women were talking so much **** about Suarez and I was defending him and now this......but **** it, he is ours and I still would not swap him with another player in the world, he is clearly bat**** mental but as Shaggy said that is what makes him so good....and bad

The FA can't touch Suarez for this. And if they do, despite the fact that I completely acknowledge that Suarez has been a knob in all this id expect the club to complain.
It will be interesting to see FIFA's punishment, they definately can't be classed as non-corrupt, but they probably have less of an agenda when it comes to Suarez, I honestly think, like the first time 4-5 international games would be appropriate.
We're all capable of madness, and we've seen it on a football pitch before, Zidane and Cantona being main examples, sometimes players just lose their head, unfortunately the mechanism Suarez goes with is biting, I find it quite strange this is more outrageous than the purposeful elbowing of Fellaini, or the quite blatant headbutts Diego Costa throws at most set pieces(can you imagine if we had both of them by the way
) biting someone is wrong, but no more wrong than the things above, I'd rather have someone take a nibble out my arm than throw a nutt at me, or ****ing karate kick me stoods up. I honestly think if react worse to an elbow.
But that's just me.
The times they are a changin'.

Just looked at some new video.... It leaves nothing to the imagination [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XiiS4sbp7po"]EXCLUSIVE CAMERA! Luis Suarez bite Giorgio Chiellini "VAMPIRE" | Italy vs Uruguay 2014 - YouTube[/ame]
Yes it was a bite and this means Luis is going nowhere. Instead. He'll have a LONG ban. It's 3 times now..... It's not an accident. For the first time in my life I hope we had sold him before WC when the price was right...... Do we have to pay his sallary while he is banned from playing. FIFA will slap him with a long one. If second time was 10 games. I quarantee this will be longer....Last edited by janpelt; 25-06-14, 11:01 AM.

I'm getting sick and tired of this ****. Obviously he's our best player and it's in the best interest for sporting reasons that we keep him, and thus I'd be fine if he stayed. However, I could seriously understand if the club had enough of his **** and decided to cash in. If this is the case, we'd have to have a ludicrous Bale type fee, or receive a cash plus players deal.
And the players which come in would need to be of the calibre of Alexis.
Also, it's hilarious if you recall that Chiellini almost joined us around 4-5 years ago. Imagine if he was our player and this had happened. [Off topic, but we should have paid the extra money and closed the deal as he's really developed into a fine player]
And? It's a supposed to be a contact sport. Players kick lumps out of eachother in every game. They don't all retaliate by biting the opposition player. If he wanted to do something he could've kicked him back or thrown in a sly elbow during play like Dani Alves would do. Approaching him and attempting a bite is ridiculous. Not only is it blatant and premeditated, it's just incredibly stupid especially with his history, no one will give him the benefit of the doubt.Originally posted by Harv View PostChiellini had been kicking lumps out of him all afternoon FFS.
It happens in rugby occasionally. Particularly in the ruck or the scrum where everyone is in close quarters. Although this has largely been taken out of the game, but it still wasn't that uncommon in the 90s for example. A few forwards have received the Hollyfield treatment. Although, I do remember an Argentine player biting Eben Etsebeth around a year or two ago on his arm. It was a lot more vicious than that and if I remember correctly he got in huge ****.Originally posted by PTP View Postyeah the instinct to bite is beyond me -
the only other people i know to 'bite' someone are
1 - Mike Tyson - proper nutter
2 - some lad who moved to our school from Bootle, proper rough scally, got into fights and bit someones ear off
it's mental - whats more mental is to go and do it after all the **** thats gone before, all his 'im treated unfairly by the english press' (which i felt maybe bias but he was) and playing for his beloved country at the world cup, he goes and does it again - it's ****ing nuts simple as - there is no excuse or defending it

yeah it's frustrating, because i'm the same try so hard to defend him and he does **** like this....Originally posted by red g View Post

on a selfish level, i hope we keep him, cause he's world class and we'd struggle to replace him.
Plus - as i've mentioned, why should we be the club who takes the moral high ground - it's all agenda driven by rival fans who don't want him playing against them because he's so good....but everyone of them would take him right now in a heart beat......and whilst i don't condone it -
Everton fans - 95% that i know, there biggest hero is Duncan Ferguson, a proper thug and convicted criminal who did a lot worse a lot more regularly.
Man Utd fans -95% that i know, their biggest hero is Eric Cantona, kung fu kicked a fan in the stands.
So whilst i'm not using them to justify/defend/compare to Suarez - i didn't recall any of their fans calling for ferguson/cantona to be sackedi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Haha, I had intended on using spoilers and using a picture of someone with chuck bit from their shoulder, butOriginally posted by PTP View Posti agree - could we have that in spoilers please - not what i needed to see this early in the morning

a) The alternative pictures were far more gruesome
b) I’d lost interest by the time I’d caught up on this thread.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
