back to the original point of the thread, i do feel good about being a strong advocate for our owners when the **** went down. i do enjoy being right when it also means we're doing well.

In honesty, no one has had a real go at the owners yet. A good number of people were critical it took them so long to act on Hodgson, but the same number could also understand why they delayed.

But other than that, I would say FSG have got a lot of little points right, and made a good solid number of recruitments. The key for me is this summer, as player recruitment is always the most costly business they will encounter. If we compete at a high level in that regards this summer, I think it's safe to say that the vast majority of fans will be won over.

After the optimism we have reached this season, if we were to go into next season after failing to progress the squad, I will be gutted tbh.

Owners have performed well so far, disappointed they kept Roy in a job for so long but considering the media support and the old boys' club backing him in addition to his own propaganda machine, I'm not surprised they were apprehensive, at least they got Commoli in to stop him wasting cash in January before Kenny came back.

Interesting to see how much is invested during the summer and obviously the stadium is a massive issue but so far, so good and done with a bit of class.

i'm more referring to the knee jerk "oh god, more yanks, we're doomed" reaction that happened on the day. there were only a couple of us sticking up for them and saying this was a very good thing for the club, and i think we were fairly convincing, and i'm happy that so many liverpool fans have given them a fair chance to prove themselves. it was a semi slow start, understadably, but things are really rolling now.

Owners £££ and decisions, manager's abilities, system and player management, the players ability and belief; That's all football is when it comes down to it. I am just happy that so far, FSG and our management as a whole have been doing a great job of recognizing what needs to be done, bringing in some unbelievable signings, taking the gutsy move of getting rid of one of our top players, and rewarding the King. As obvious as all that sounds now, there is a lot to **** up there; the recent past at LFC proves the point. I am just glad they've got the big decisions right*. Now, I agree, they have it all to do with the summer transfers, backing the King with players and sales, and the stadium revenue flow, but I am encouraged and I don't expect to see American flags burning outside Anfield anytime soon.

Now, if they do a pre-season tour of the USA in 2012, we'll be golden...

I'm fine with them making money as long as they invest in the club when investment is needed.

yes, but i also think they just want to win stuff. they have a huge competitive streak, and while it doesn't make them do anything dumb, i think it's also a motivating factor for them.
