The use of the word "negro" cannot be construed as racist(IMO). Its Spanish for black.
You call someone (who is black) black it isnt racist. Call him a black **** and it is. Call him the N word and it is.
Surely you cant stop people speaking in their own language.
As I said earlier, unless there is evidence that we havnt heard about, I dont see how he can be found guilty.
Incidentally, a Hibernian player received a one match ban this week for offensive gestures towards Rangers fans. Different jurisdiction I know.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

just out of curiousity, suarez isnt exactly "white" himself. trying not to sound racist here, but if one black man can call another black man "nigg@r" why cant a partially coloured man do the same?People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

The word is often regarded as being a racial slur, if the FA view it as such it will be easy for them to ban him.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostWhy is the word black racist? Surely it matters in what context it is used? We can't be going that far in this racist debate that you can't use a descriptive term.
For me the context thing could go either way, whether it was said aggressively or not the FA could easily decide that it was intended to wind Evra up.
I'm hoping that three things will work in Suarez' favour: i) hopefully the referee heard it and thought there was nothing in it (hence why he took no action), ii) Evra's claims that Suarez used the word at least 10 times (which seems to be untrue), iii) if the club can provide evidence that the Man Utd players call Evra the same thing. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Doing a **** in my pants, got no faith in a fair deal when going against Man Utd let alone when a family arse lick of Fergusons is on the panel aswell!
Oh well, if its 3 games at least we are playing two hopeless teams in that stretch though winning games without Lucas, Gerrard and Suarez is a tough ask.

Evra ****ing well knows he was not being racial abused, I remember him distinctly smiling at Suarez and it was a laugh it up big man we will see who is smiling soon kind of smile. He also thought the ****ing Ref was racially abusing him, as was the groundsman in chelsea as were the entire population of Senegal as was Steve Finnan, poor guy he really seems to come in for some stick because he is blackOriginally posted by Resu View PostIf Evra thought it was racist at the time, how can the FA rule it frivolous? Evra has every right to complain if he thought he was racially abused. If the FA then find out later that it wasn`t racist, just a language thing, the complaint wasn`t frivolous. If Suarez had said nothing at all onthe other hand......

Could be, or Evra might be oversensitive about it so he sees everything as racist. Or it could be that Suarez is quilty, or it`s just a misunderstanding.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostLooking at the context of things, it looks like Evra was playing the race card and Suarez was mocking him. Evra then tries to get even out of spite. Kind of looks that way.Blank

But its ok from him to say **** like that ...
I think this is how it went down
Suarez was mugging him off all day
Evra was getting frustrated
Suarez was getting up in his face and obviously looking down his nose at him, making an issue of his size
He patted him on the head in a friendly but really condescending manner
Evra now brings race into the exchange by telling him Get you hands off me you South American !! which can not ever be construed as anything but racist to which Suarez responds quite cleverly either depending which you beleive Calmse Negrito or Negro Pulze or whatever it was the first one is calm down buddy and the 2nd one is because I am black both are hilarious wind ups both are not racistAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt.
