Remind them they've had a drugs cheat playing and helping them win things for years.

edit: Oh, sorry, that'll be a waste of time, they didn't accept Rio missed the test on purpose did they.

Carroll might just grab this opportunity to step up, we'll have Maxi and Bellamy plus Gerrard on his way back, now everyone else needs to buckle up. Luis can take a nice holiday and come back refreshed after the ban.

Maybe we can't get the ban shortened but I'd like them to sue the FA for defamation of character regardless, and Evra as well. Let the ban stick but go after them anyway!

Court of Arbitration for Sport, yes. 'Normal' courts of law and order, such as the High Court as some have suggested however, no. I think.

You may well be right about Suarez taking private legal action. But i'm not sure it'd count as a restraint of trade, as he'd still be being paid during the ban. If someone is suspended from work on full pay, they too couldnt take legal action due to a restraint of trade as their pay would still be being paid.
He could argue that he's being denied the opportunity to earn appearance fees/win bonuses etc.

I hope Terry doesn't get banned, he's shot and usually costs them a goal a game

With the Suarez thing, there was no complaint from any member of the public, so it is not dealt with by the law of the land and falls solely under the durisdiction of football.
Evra, as much as we dislike it. IS a member of the public, just like you and me

That was an issue of employment issues and rights, which falls under EU law. This kind of thing doesnt.
I didn't say it had anything to do with this case. It was just an example of a challenge of footballing rules in a non-footballing court - that's all.

I wonder how the Uruguayan FA responds to this? Or FIFA for that matter.

I honestly don't feel that arsed about the ban. It's obviously a huge blow to us on the field but what bothers me most is those horrible *******s have had our best player's character stained like this. As well as the club's. I just want his name cleared.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
