Could we not set up an e-petition & get this looked at by the house of commons? We'd get over 100k signatures easily.

Is an eight game ban too harsh?

        Currently 71% say yes.

I see Adrian Durham was baiting Glenn Johnson on Twitter last night, asking if he'd have the front to call in to the show today.

Because that went really well for you when Carragher did so, eh.

Talksport apparently had a poll about sacking Suarez? WTF there is no mention of Terry anywhere. To an extent I hope the FA don't sanction Terry, I think it would cause some of the neutrals to notice what's going on, especially outside of England. I reckon that other bodies in other countries are surprised seeing this farce unfolding and we will hear something from Europe at some point.

I am gobsmacked at the contrast in views between Suarez and Terry by the media.I have even seen Terry being hailed heroic for his performance last night.

And wtf happened to that Skysports poll....I looked well past midnight and Suarez was 39% and Nani 33%!.....

Wasn't it supposed to end midnight?

Are all these media people thick?

The T-Shirts were not a slap in the face of the "kick racism out of football campaign", it was a protest at the injustice of the verdict on their friend who they all know 100% is not a racist. Whats so hard to understand?

"Some things are bigger" what a stupid thing to say. If one of their mates was wrongly convicted of being racist are they telling me they would'nt support them because even though it was an injustice, the fight against racism is bigger....utter utter bellends the lot of them.

And Nani winning it is just a joke, if Suarez where not to win it (I'm probably biased), surely Van Persie deserves it. He has been brilliant throughout '11.

I don't believe that there is a conspiracy here. The Terry case has been passed on to the police and is now a case for them at the moment, therefore the media have their hands tied on being able to speak about it before a decision is made.

Its not like the english press not to turn on one of their own, they do it all the time. Rooney, Beckham, and Terry himself have all felt the full force of it. They're sensationalist, they know what sells and they use it. Blame the public for being stupid enough to take their views as gospel.

Very little was really mentioned about Suarez one way or another until the decision was made, then it went mad. It will be the same with Terry.

Completely agree. They have a bewilderingly dim way of viewing things.

I see the FA have now appointed there first female director to increase diversity, I take there were now black takers then? Good timing.

Edit: Oh, wait she's from Jamaica

Neil Ashton (a journo - can't remember who for) was on TalkSport this morning. Can't remember everything he said, and I remember disagreeing with a lot of it, but when asked about us wearing the t-shirts he at least had the sense to make the point that our players would have spoken to Suarez and know far more about the goings on than nearly everybody else. Therefore if they chose to support him it's with evidence to back that up rather than what they have or haven't read in the media like most outside of the club seem to be doing.

Why are people surprised at this ****?

I'm not in the least surprised by the medias reaction and equally I wont be surprised when the FA use the results of Terry's court case to wash their hands of giving him any sort of ban

Its so predictable in fact I'd be more surprised if the opposite happened

True, and I guess we saw it to an extent (within the media) with Benitez.

But all seems to have taken it to a whole new level.
