I try to avoid listening to Durham - he just makes me angry.

In fact I'm guessing he does that to a lot of people.

I actually marvel at the fact that he turns in for his show every day because the chances of someone beating him to a pulp on the way in to the studio must be quite high.

It's really sad and weird, the bloke makes a hypocrite of himself every day, and yet the show rolls on and noone cares or says anything, i wish 5 live just did sport every day all day like TS, and kept politics and other stuff to other stations, don't suppose they can, not much choice of sports radio tbh.

Right now, It's like i'm living in a world where almost everyone is the emperor...from the story...'the emperors new clothes', if that makes sense.

You mean that they're all wearing nice clothing and we can't see it because we're not worthy?

Putting aside the fact that any given topic on this forum has been done to at least ten deaths, there are clearly recent developments to discuss. Barwick's report on our media output will likely feature this issue heavily, should we censor that too? The whole idea of censoring discussion on this is utterly ridiculous to me, I can't understand it at all. We might all be sick of it but it exists and sticking our heads in the sand won't change that.

What, some are more equal than others and all that jazz?

Honestly, being a mod on here is insane. You get some people moaning like cunts about not being allowed to post a pair of tits and on the same forum others say we should ban all discussion of the single most talked about topic to do with our club. Utterly mental

Sadly it's always been that way. Hence the story.

I've always had sympathy for people hounded by the press, even those I have little time for. This has strongly reinforced my view.

Though it doesn't extent to those poor Sun reports Kavannagh described today.

Apologies if it's been mentioned before but I've just read something in the Mail that said: 'No-one is more important than the club,' a senior Fenway source told BBC Sport. 'Apologies were necessary.'

Quite right, Fenway, nice of you to remember it - because it includes your lot as well. You only want us for the money.

I'm still angry. I should shut up. I know.

Just because they aren't prepared to be sugar daddies doesn't mean their only interest is financial. I'd say they are in it for the love of winning and the opportunity for success against the odds as much as anything.

I can't really say I disagree with anything they have done so far. I don't think they really deserve any **** slung their way.

I'm guessing here, but you do consciously put the radio on right?

Also, I'm sure you realise but its all about ratings. Nothing else matters. Say something controversial and stand back while everyone piles in.
                      Oh I don't know.

Me personally, i'm keeping an open mind on the owners.

Nothing they've done so far jumps out at me that makes me think..yeah, we have some real smooth operators here, in this venture for all the right reasons, and more shrewd than other clubs ownership.

Not because of anything to do with all this, just that i'll take more persuading now, than i would have before H&G.

Reasonable enough really. They have put together some good sponsorship deals / marketing tie-ups. Other than that I can't say they have done anything particularly impressive, but it's early days. They've done nothing to displease me nor anything to make me get carried away as though they are the answer to all our prayers.

I agree. For very good reasons we're all behaving emotionally. They (FSG) must continue to be objective and calculating. It's not cynical on their behalf they need to work that way to protect/ develop their investment.

The club needs the right balance and it's probably been a little too emotional of late.

On the Suarez thing, i don't know that they could have done anything different, we all backed Suarez, based on what we heard about what went on, the story changing from Evra etc, and i think we had every right as a club to believe that on the evidence presented, or lack of...that this wouldn't be escalated into the farce it did, and that the FA shouldn't find any man guilty for such an image tarnishing accusation based on such an ambiguous version of events.

Obviously certain people had different plans, then all the rival fans threw their tuppence worth in on twitter and the like, and before long we had and intergalactic incident! threatening the whole of mankind!
