    Not at Liverpool he hasnt

Well he has half the time at Liverpool - and the half where he didnt, was the notoriously 'difficult first season'

However the FACT that Downing, Henderson & Carroll have all missed chances (they are responsible for more than 50% of the times we have hit the woodwork) also shows its not all about Suarez

            Its all of them
The other players don't create that many chances. Have you really watched our games, I start to wonder that. Suarez both create and finish more than the rest of the players put together.

If you don't call that a one man attacking team then I don't know what is.

Suarez is more or less the only goal threat we have in the starting XI.

Downing isn't a goal threat at all. Henderson isn't a goal threat at all. Carroll isn't that big goal threat yet.

Two out of our four attacking players isn't even close to be a goal threat and they are attacking players. Every attacking player must be a goal threat, not two out of four. Take Suarez out of the game and our goal threat don't exist.

Then you look at our midfield. Lucas and Adam. Adam is more or less only scoring on set pieces. Lucas is almost a zero goal threat. Another two players that isn't any goal threats at all.

Then you look at our back four.

Johnson can create and score goals but he is out injured very often. Kelly isn't a goal threat when he play instead of Johnson. Carra isn't a goal threat even on set pieces, Skrtel can score a couple of goals a season, Agger isn't either a good goal threat at set pieces. Enrique isn't a goal threat.

That means that the only real goal threat on the pitch is Suarez. One player out of ten. One man team.

Replace Henderson with Kuyt, Downing with Maxi and Adam with Henderson and we would get a lot more goal threats on the pitch.

We would get a lot more creativity on the pitch and would by that way create more chances as a team instead of Suarez himself creating and finishing more chances than the rest of the team put together.

If Suarez get injured and ruled out two three months then we would probably struggle to finish in the top half.

We are indeed a one man team.

Well, then we can rule out Carroll being a goal threat. He hasn't been that at Liverpool..........

I must say I haven’t been disappointed by our play generally (apart from the odd game)

However I have been extremely disappointed with our general finishing its has been woefully sub-standard

I am not advocating dropping Suarez in anyway but as I have said countless times his finishing is dreadful at times and I don’t think changing formation, players etc... can improve that its down to him to improve that just like its down to Carroll et al to improve their own finishing
I know, Suarez does take a lot of low percentage shots, I also think he can finish a lot better than he has shown with us so far.

I still have concerns about how we give up too much of the middle of pitch though.

I think with headers, they always look easier than they are, but with his height and strength he should be doing better.

Arn's point about goal threats isnt that widely off the mark, in fairness.

It's upto the others to step upto the plate and prove his opinion wrong, but they arent doing so as of yet. Long way to go, mind.

Been through this before see no reason to pick holes in your posts AGAIN

Please don’t accuse me of not watching LFC, I have had a season ticket since 1976 and have watched games home and away for a lot of that time, whilst I don’t get to all the games these days I still watch every game

I could quite easily accuse you of not watching games but as you are so fond of standing on the moral high ground that you so frequently take up - I wouldn’t be so insulting

The fact is Arn the stats posted in these threads can be used to adequately disprove most of your football based theories

You clearly have agendas you are peddling and it is disappointing you seem to have the need to create issues at the expense of our current manager when they aren’t really there

Anyone would think we are in the relegation zone with a manager that doesn’t know anything football wise, we are close to 4th place and would be a hell of a lot closer if Suarez et al had finished the numerous chances presented to them

When it comes down to Carroll then we simply don't know if he is good enough yet. He hasn't played that many games in the PL. Phillips won the golden boot but that don't make him a good player. He had one lucky season.

We don't know if Carroll had a few lucky months at Newcastle. Time will tell. He was our biggest ever transfer gamble.

So far for us he hasn't been good enough but he hasn't as I said played enough games in the PL to be able to say if he is a good player or not.

In two three years time we get the answer if he is good enough or not. Many players have started excellent and then faded away.

Time will tell if Carroll is a good player or not. Right now Ashley must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Kevin Phillips was/is a very good goalscorer.

The thing is hes having a pop at Kenny for a lack of goal threats when players like Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Lucas were all bought by his beloved Rafa

The club never had enough goal threats during Rafas reign and probably doesnt now

The thing I find highly amusing is that virtually every criticism Arn makes of Kenny could be applied to the club during Rafa's reign

Yet Rafa is given a pass and Kenny has to step forward and take it on the chin - its ****ing mental

Reading your posts you have clearly decided he isnt good enough (just like you have with Kenny), I use to remember a time when players and managers were afforded time before they were judged and sentenced accordingly
