I can't believe we are still very much in touch with the pack given the amount of points dropped to lower table teams.

I think we can really kick on from here. The return of Gerrard and maybe a quality purchase or two and I am sure we can pick off a couple of the teams above us. Arsenal and Chelsea look the most vulnerable.

As far as I'm concerned Man City are now officially in the fight for 2nd/3rd/4th placed fight. The title is manure's. Man City have finally reverted to the same cr*p that Mancini usually serves up.

You mean saving Silva and Aguero for us? Both were utter ****e against Sunderland when they did come on even up to the last minute of the game. They were utter ****e against us earlier in the season too, us having Lucas was only part of the reason.

Like I already said in this thread the cold weather has set in and their ilk are bottling it just as I expected they would.

You can't say black. You mean people of african origins?

Some insane results over last few days, such a pity we have one of, if not the most difficult fixture of the season against City, as it would be great to take advantage of dropped points. I can't us bossing City as we did in the last game, but we are certainly capable of taking points off them, their defence is dodgy but unfortunately for us their attacking options are fricken ridiculous!!

Right time to be playing City though.

Considering the attacking options available to them, they've been pretty flat of late. City away was always going to be a tough fixture, but there's never been a better time to play them. Plus they also played a grueling match yesterday.

Whoa for Arsenal fans if he were to get injured soon as well, that's a lot of weight to carry on fragile shoulder bones.
Posted yesterday....that big gap just got bigger.

Exactly. We were always gonna have to play City again at some stage and I don't think we could have hand picked a better time. The pressure is starting to get to them a bit, they just suffered a devastating defeat and they only have 2 days to prepare. They are definitely there for the taking, but even if we don’t win we’ll still be in a decent position thanks to recent results.

Really looking forward to the game.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Newcastle's win today takes them above us, meaning were now in 7th place

Not looking good for 4th really

It's like us, Chelsea and Arsenal are trying really hard not to finish top four. Anyone who finds a little bit of consistency will take it. Maybe even Newcastle will sneak in there.
