Good round of results for us, just a shame that Arsenal didn't drop points.

Just the Sunderland and Wigan penalties alone would've made a big difference.
It would have put is 2pts ahead of Arsenal and 1pt behind Spurs in 4th
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I was thinking exactly the same thing.Originally posted by Lee View PostI can't help but think we'll rue the missed chances that we've had this season.

Sunderland - Missed penalty and more that enough chances to win, when 1-0 up
Man U - Conceded an equaliser with 5 mins to go.
Norwich - Again more than enough chances to win after being 1-0 at home.
Swansea - Drew 0-0 at home, again squandering numerous chances.
Wigan - Missed penalty
Blackburn - Totally dominated the match but dropped two home points against the worst team in the league.
Just imagine if we picked up those 12 points? We'd be right up there with Man City.

Thats why i deliberetly didnt mention the stoke & fulham games which again in both games we created more than enough to win.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostYou cant point to every case of dropped points though and say 'what if' because sometimes teams will drop points in games they 'should' win. Every team can say the same.
You can point to two or three of those, but not all six.

to say weve had some umbelievably poor results especially at home and were still in the race for fourth as well as being only eleven points away from man city.
weve hit the woodwork twenty times and have missed countless other.chances to win matches.
hats off to kenny, steve, damien comolli and fsg. they built the foundations for a ****ing awesome team and I would bet my right nut ( the one thats hasnt yet been tied up) that we will get at least ten points more from the next nineteen games than we did from the first nineteen.
we are literally a couple of signings away.from challenging for the title and another couple more from actually.winning it.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Just realised the nugget that Vermaelen is injured. That's 50 percent of Arsenal's team f*cked so Van Persie will now need to score two every game to avoid dropping points! Whoa for Arsenal fans if he were to get injured soon as well, that's a lot of weight to carry on fragile shoulder bones. One tit for another.

The difference being (and obviously this is our bias) that other teams, e.g. Man U, win games they don't even deserve to win as well as not winning the odd game they deserve to. This season, we've not really picked up any points we didn't deserve, and dropped a lot of points we didn't deserve to. But obviously this is the difference between coming 1st and 5thOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostThe point being that no team will win all the games they 'should' win - otherwise we'd all be millionaires by simpling back teams who should win easy home games.
