That each situation is a judgement on particular circumstance. there's no rule to when someone should go, otherwise recruitment and sackings would be pretty ****ing easy.

Of course but whats the circumstances with us at the moment?
Still recovering from the pain of Roy, Purslow and H&G. 3 managers in less than a season wasn't what we needed, we could do with some continuity in the club and Kenny deserves IMO the rest of this season and the next now he might decide come the summer to stand aside but unless he does it I think he deserves the two seasons.
Of course we need to see an improvement and nobody is above reproach and I am sure he knows that, I'd expect they'll be a pretty full and frank exchange of expectations this summer between FSG, Kenny and DomCom which is fair enough.

The forums dont dictate anything to be honest and dont really reflect the matchgoers views in truth. The anfield faithful will give Kenny as much time ad he wants.Originally posted by doogle View Postresults aren't looking good for Kenny, over 50% want him gone in the summer, wonder if thats the general feeling throughout LFC fans, I don't go on any other forums

Its not that simple. And match goers don't make up the vast minority of Liverpool fans and their opinions are no more important.

So you saying the 'matchgoers' and 'anfield faithful' dictate things?Originally posted by Eric Swindler View PostThe forums dont dictate anything to be honest and dont really reflect the matchgoers views in truth. The anfield faithful will give Kenny as much time ad he wants.
There are loads on posters on here that are 'matchgoers', myself included but nobody will get 'as much time as he wants' - legend or not.

not strictly true, they might not voice it at Anfield but they might think it, how much of a percentage of fans can get to Anfield, these days the 'internet warriors' like to have a voiceOriginally posted by Eric Swindler View PostThe forums dont dictate anything to be honest and dont really reflect the matchgoers views in truth. I've not voted because I would like to wait till the end of the season especially not now after our recent run of results to be able to look back on the season and see how I feel about it then, I think its obvious some of the players aren't performing/aren't good(who knows who else we wanted) enough for CL qualifications and it is a rebuilding after some of the dross we did have but also we do need better players and if Kenny/Camolli can bring a few 'stars' make those 1 pts into 3 pts and get the confidence flowing then who knowshow good we can beRIP IRWT

Was bound to be a divide alright. Don't know why people have to be nasty though just because of a difference of opinion, crazy stuff!Originally posted by Phoenix06 View PostIt's turning really nasty on the other forums between those who want him to stay and those who want a change.
I'm thankful that this forum is allowing the debate because there are a few who are binning members just for having a different point of view.
That's why i like EST, so much more chilled out (apart from a few

I agree. Can't really reflect on the season until it's over.Originally posted by doogle View PostI've not voted because I would like to wait till the end of the season especially not now after our recent run of results to be able to look back on the season and see how I feel about it then, I think its obvious some of the players aren't performing/aren't good(who knows who else we wanted) enough for CL qualifications and it is a rebuilding after some of the dross we did have but also we do need better players and if Kenny/Camolli can bring a few 'stars' make those 1 pts into 3 pts and get the confidence flowing then who knowshow good we can beTrey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

If you compare Dalglish and Benitez as managers then I believe Rafa to be the better manager.
Therefore, in an ideal world I'd prefer Rafa to be manager over Kenny. However, I can't see any way that Benitez would be offered the job this summer or next. There's too much bad blood - bad blood with a proportion of the fans, bad blood with some influential players, bad blood with the press, and possibly bad blood with Ayre.
There is also precious little evidence that switching managers gets you success - certainly not when there isn't a mountain of cash behind you.
Which leads to giving Kenny more time to get it right. If I were the owner I'd be flying over at the end of the season and wanting to know why the league went to hell. What will Kenny, Damian, and Steve do over the summer to ensure that our league performance improves dramatically next season.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1
