point being if we hired capello, it would be because we want to have a team that plays like a capello team for the long term, not because of any perceived weakness in defense (or lack thereof in the case of a different manager). it shouldn't have much to do really with the state of things now. we will make a signing based on the idea that we want our team to look a certain way in the future (asap obviously, but also for years into future).dave of mutilation

i don't have a preference, but i'm looking forward to a new direction, and i'm optimistic about it. partially because not being optimistic about it would be miserable.dave of mutilation

I was warming to the idea of AVB being appointed, but then someone posted a few articles and it's completely changed my view on him.
Martinez is a big risk, can we afford another **** up? They must get this right and it's hurting us the longer this drags on. They must appoint the right people.Comment

Just love how a man with absolutely no football knowledge except for what he's learned in a few years here is screening managerial choices for a group of owners who know even less. I hope all the info out is complete BS and a DoF is brought in before any managerial choice is made.
Not even close.
As I said earlier being LFC manager used to be one of the most desired jobs in professional football and these days we are after bunch of no names with nothing to show for.
Sure I will support any LFC manager, just like I supported Roy, but it would be very disappointing to see any of those or similar types of guys handling the managerial tasks at my club.
We need miles and miles better than that..Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan clubComment

The reason the managers job was one of the one of the most desired was due to us being one of the very top teams

Nowadays we are nowhere near that standard, hence, the type of manager we are attractive too

I'm with you on this. Trying to second guess when know one really knows what is happening behind the scenes just fuels wild speculation.
I could be being extremely nieve here but I would seriously doubt a company / man who's net worth is 1.1 billion would be foolish or stupid enough not to have a plan of what they are trying to achieve with LFC and would seem to be clearly under way.Go **** yourselfComment
