I just think we can and should prioritise both. It would be hugely damaging to our image to end up in 10th or something. There are still 30 odd points up for grabs so you never know who might collapse. We also owe it to ourselves and our supporters to play to our optimum ability as current champions.Originally posted by Saveloy View PostBut we only have one egg. And there's only one basket available. The other option is to give it to a fox to carry it for us.

Fair enough. My reply sounded more sarcastic than I intended. Our league form is so poor it doesn't seem to make much difference if we rest players or not. Champions league seems our only hope at the moment.Originally posted by Big-Red-Ed View PostI just think we can and should prioritise both. No probs lad. I didn't read it as sarcastic at all. Maybe the players are so done in with all the stress of defending champions that it is only the CL that can raise them. So you may be right. We will see tonight quick enough. We were in a sense lucky in the first leg to get the 2 goal win but we did look quite like our old selves.Originally posted by Saveloy View PostFair enough. Is it an urban fox or standard country fox? Urban fox may not have the same taste for eggs as a country fox. Obviously. And will he carry this bespoke one-egg basket by the handle in his mouth or delicately balance the egg itself between his jaws? And this brings us back to the urban/rural divide as the egg won't last a second in the country fox's mouth. Solution - our previously delicious egg was approaching it's use-by date, so, either fox, we should have hardboiled the egg i.e. strengthened after winning the league.Originally posted by Saveloy View PostBut we only have one egg. Typical bourgeoisie trying to demean the proletariat country fox with sweeping stereotypes designed to divide the fox nation.
It is obvious you would see wish to fox against fox rather than see a fox, be it proletariat or rag proletariat, receive the eggs their efforts warrant.
Stay sitting on your nest, fat hen, the foxes are coming, oh yes we are a coming.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

What about the fate of the egg, "comrade"? The foxes can all fight over the egg all they want but it's about who controls the production of eggs. You sound suspiciously like a typical chicken farming, anti-fox bigot actually who only pretends to care about the foxes' welfare while claiming others are dividing the foxes. You also conveniently ignore my suggestion that we boil the egg. Your metaphor is so suspicious on so many levels that it's clear know nothing about footballOriginally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostTypical bourgeoisie trying to demean the proletariat country fox with sweeping stereotypes designed to divide the fox nation.

You let slip of your own motives with your causl mention of a boiled egg. Who has a boiled egg in these times but those living in the big house with the hot water and their waiting staff.
No "friend" it is you that has outed yourself as an enemy of the people. You think yourself as sitting atop the hill looking down on the rest of us but you are not above us, you are surrounded by us. Us that have made the hill.
King on the hill? Nay sir I say you're not a man of the people, you're just a termite trying to profit off what others have built and speaking in tongues with regards to footyball.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The mask slips even further - your suckling from the sagging and ever more obviously shrivelled teat of FSG is now clear to all. "Oh there'll be no boiled eggs at this time and anyone wanting a boiled egg is living in a fantasy world of tawny Sheikhs with hot water on draught and gelded ponies ferrying Arabesque whores from tent to tent". The rich "poor mouth" accuses the dreamers of that which he himself is guilty. Give us our eggs and we'll boil them ourselves, foxes and arabs be damned. Good day.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostYou let slip of your own motives with your causl mention of a boiled egg.
