If the team plays at walking pace with little movement and no intensity and seems to be coached to be cautious rather than aggressive then attacking creative players aren’t going to do anything.

It’s such a rigid system with no risk taken. It’s sideways or backwards rather than forwards. It’s always slowed down even when a quick pass is on to go forwards. I don’t mind the team losing the ball if it’s a forward pass trying to open the opposition up but they don’t really do that now. It’s all so boring and predictable and for all the talk from the commentators about how well Leeds defended that really didn’t as it was easy for them.

He stood there for nearly half a minute trying to find someone to throw it and was getting visibly pissed as every ****ing player we had was just standing still way back behind opposition players. Thats the sort of team coaching we've got. Its no surprise Wirtz cant manage anything with this dross system. Klopp would have turned him into an absolute nightmare for teams.

I'd say Kerkez would cheerfully strangle Gakpo give the chance. Unless he was trying to bluff the Leeds defence by making runs into space, pointing to where he was running and shouting directions to Gakpo.

I’ll add in Konate had the ball and Bradley was ahead of him in acres of space ready to start getting the ball forward and he passed it back to Ali who then gave it to Bradley. That was in the first half.

I can recall over half a dozen moments where someone was free on the right and konate just turned away and passed it to virg instead. Absolutely useless. No wonder every team we face always keep a good control of their formation. We give them ages of time to reform.
