Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini:"I think that a draw is a correct result. We didn't deserve to lose because in the first 30 minutes played well and we had chances to score. We are not 100% for many reasons, it is important we didn't lose this game. We got a gift from Liverpool, the second goal was a gift."
    You don't say, Roberto?

Not on the same page re Carroll, but otherwise agree with your points kris

John Doe: Would you not play all three, Allen/Lucas/Sahin, pushing Gerrard up into the front three?

I'd say so mate. Spearing is so far down the pecking order now it's unreal. Downing is the most likely to still be here next week in my opinion, but I don't see him being more than a bit-part player this season. Especially if Assaidi comes in and does well.

Coates had a really good game for me and certainly was the right choice to partner Skrtel.

One complaint: Please play Borini in the middle and Suarez out wide.

Borini's strength to me seems to be to be in the right place at the right time. He's got excellent instinctive movement. I'm certain he'd score goals if he played down the middle.

He's not suited to playing out wide, he's got nothing one-on-one like Suarez and Sterling do.

To me it's a no-brainer and I can't understand why we persist with Suarez down the middle?

Fully agree. Add to that Suarez keeps drifting wide anyway so we need someone in the box

Nothing against them, but let's hope we can move them on for mutual good. If we can use them to fund a quality forward it will make a big difference.

The overhaul Rodgers has given the midfield is exceptional.

Joy to watch at times. Sloppy defending cost us 2 points. Our captain needs to buck up otherwise his place will be under threat if Sahin hits the ground running

                      Reina
                      Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
                      Allen
                      Gerrard Sahin
                      Suarez Carroll Sterling

IMO. Time to be brave and move Suarez out wide. I like Borini as an option, he'll get plenty of game time, but we need a presence in the box to take some pressure away from Suarez. We could also distort that line up into a 4-4-2 with Gerrard moving to the right and Suarez getting into the box.

                      I'd like to see this.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers: "Sometimes the best team can't always win but if you don't win it's important you don't lose. You can't win every game, that's why there's only one champion. I thank the fans, it was a wonderful atmosphere they created. We will have more days like that but get the win."

Oh, and another thing. Did anyone else think it was slightly strange that Coates played on the right side of defence, and Skrtel on the left? Seemed very odd to me. We don't do that when Agger is playing.

                              Drop Lucas

                              No chance.

Gerrard is more deserving of being dropped IMO.
