He could always do an interview to end all rumours.

like that would end any rumours! It would just add fuel to the fire and more bile saying he's lying etc...

Big rumour breaking on Sturridge from an ex player.

But until Thommo says i can post it then i'm afraid i can't tell you who said it.

I was just kidding really, Was just about Thommo, and what he didn't really say.

Former Liverpool legend Phil Thompson has said that the club’s owners are now looking to shift crocked striker Daniel Sturridge off their books.

I did sort of hint at it coming from Thommo though.

If they sign a better player than him and get him in the team and firing goals galore before Daniel is fit I think anyone would be arsed if they sold Sturridge. But until that time I for one don't want him sold unless he's totally beyond repair.

Bascombe tweeted this last evening - he makes it sound like a mental issue by deciding he is 'unable' to play.

Imagine Elvis deciding after ‘Jailhouse Rock’ he was unable to sing. That’s pretty much Daniel Sturridge’s football career at the moment.

If he has any aspirations to play in the Euros this summer he will need to get some games in before the end of the season.

If the stories about depression are true I wouldn't be surprised at all. He knows he's good but he also knows he can break at any given moment. It must be incredibly hard to keep your spirits up and to remain positive when you suffer so many injuries. Yes he has loads of money but I don't think it compensates for not being on the pitch. Early retirement may be the best option for his state of mind. The constant critisim is out of order.

He's effectively holding the club back, quite consideraly so, I think it's OK to be critical of him.
                        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

The stuff that Gerrard wrote in his autobiography looks to be only the tip of the iceberg in terms of his problems

Is he ****. We are paying plenty of other useless ****s a lot more combined than Daniel gets. If and I am only guessing, he is depressed, and thus feels unable to play, its understable and needs support imo. Or do we laugh at other people cowering in the shadows after suffering depression? Of course he may not have depression or be depressed and thus my point is mute.
