Im also willing to think that probably a lot of the stories we have heard about his attitude ect have been planted in the press by all sorts of interested parties. Meaning the actual truth of the matter is a lot more hazy.

My guess is that the conversation went like this:

'Barca might be interested, would you be?'
'Yeah, why wouldnt I be. Always been a dream of mine'
    'Cool, Ill see what happens'

Then everything after that has probably been out of his control. Talk of him refusing to train/play is probably quite wide of the mark. Especially given he has never been that type of player (Unlike Suarez, Costa and that type)

I might be wrong, but I think people probably want to think the worse of him because it makes them feel better if he leaves.

He's an absolute little toad for the way he has gone about things but he's a fabulous player ...that's footballers for you, zero loyalty. Klopp doesn't seem like the forgiving type so it will be interesting to see what way he will treat Coutinho. Does he bring him back asap for the good of the team? Would other team members be pissed off with Phil coming straight back in after the disrespect he has shown the club? Does Klopp freeze him out to the detriment of the side?

I hope us keeping Coutinho is not the success story and focus of our transfer window. This is not a win, we need more players added the the first 11. Hopefully if we win tonight and cement our place in the champs league proper, things might start to move.
What has he done? Has he ****ed off to Brazil like Diego Costa and gone on strike?

News agencies and his agent have I'm sure had the most to do with what's gone on with him.

I can't see him playing for us until mid/late Sept at the earliest though.

Couldn't give a **** what Costa or any other player outside of LFC has done to be honest mate. More concerned with our club and players that want to be at LFC. There has been some serous spin from the Coutinho/Barca end, no getting away from that bull****.

Youve said he is a toad for the way he has gone about things. Whats he done though? Apart from said he has a back injury? What if thats legit?

The simplest explanation is probably the most likely. Mid September is after the International Break anyway

It would be awesome if his back injury cleared up for Wednesday

                  Klopp's comments

"Since he has the back problems he is obviously not in training but when I asked the medical department how he is doing, no complaints. It's not always easy for me to say the 100% truth even if I don't like to lie but that is how it is in the moment".

What does that say to you? Klopp is hardly going to come out and say, yeah he's faking it. Those comments unless I have completely misread them seem to suggest that the medical department have said there is nothing wrong with him.

It depends how you interpret what's been said there. No complaints could mean a multitude of things.

No complaints I read as about his attitude. So there is more than one way to take Klopp's comments there.

Nope, he just got a transfer request and got a back injury... Poor timing and all...

Fair enough, it's just my opinion but personally with the timing, the situation, that staged tablets in the pic and those comments all a hell of a coincidence ... I'm inclined to think he's putting it on. If he isn't and his injury is absolutely genuine then, sorry Phil my bad.

With the transfer request. Was that a real thing? Or was it someone else briefing the press ect. From what I read there is no such thing as a 'Transfer Request' or 'Transfer List'

Im guessing his agents are as much to blame here as the player. But no one ever cares about them ****ing with the club behind their phones. I know he has chooses his reps. But he cant control their actions always can he?

i feel the forum hierarchy need to offer some assistance to the members here...

should we be hating this little toad for ****ing us about?

should we welcome the return of the young messiah from his poorly back and the heinous tapping up saga from them dirty greasers?

should we still build him a statue just so we can all **** on it then burn it down in a pyre of number 10 shirts?

do we need a poll or sumfin.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

I sort of think Klopp means he's asked the medical dept about his injury, and Klopp has no complaints with the answers given.

Otherwise, he's publicly saying Cout is fit. The bit about not being able to tell the 100% truth, probably means he could play if pushed, but there is something there with his back.

I think Klopp is just giving Cout time, not burning any bridges as he's the one that will have to manage him, and it's the owners that need to be seen as the nasty people for not letting him go to Barca, which leaves Klopp free to console and cajole him into having a good season if he's staying.
