I would have said Hoever but he seems to have disappeared out of the picture this season. Sepp is nowhere near ready from what I've seen.

I would rather a younger player be fourth choice and at least they will learn from mistakes.
But
He got the club, was involved in a run to the champions league final, scored that goal and seemed a well like member of the squad. It is a win win all round - decent fee for a 31 year old, free up wages, he will be first choice and play at a fairly high level and he goes out a champion.
All the best Dejan

You are a voice of reason within a storm of indifference
Wonder if we bring another kid through? None of us thought Joe Gomez would turn into a top CB. Maybe Hoever or Sepp are next?

I see I remain the only member of the Lovren appreciation society.

I'll give you that his views on SM seem... confused.Originally posted by badpiggy View PostI feel nothing at his passing. He seems a bit of a prick all round. It's not 100% necessary but I like to actually like as many of our players as possible.

He's Croatian though, he reminds me of a mate of mine who has the same personality - so I quite like him.

Your baiting, but I'll bite as usual.Originally posted by Mr Pink View PostI wonder, is there any spare fireworks left from the other night?!
He's been here through the entirity of the Klopp era and played a big part in the early days. He turned round his form from those catastrophic moments he had with Brendan.
Of course he has made some mistakes. But he gets hammered for them because people hark back to those days under Brendan. He was superb in the run of games he played earlier in the season.
If he had been anywhere near Gomez and VVD banging into each other on Weds or Gomez sticking out a leg to let Pulisic fly past, or VVD getting caught in posession v Arsenal he'd have been relentlessly hammered on here.
I'm sure there will be some sarcastic responses here. Or some posts to point out why I am wrong. But for me he deserves respect. He has proven himself to be a champion. Played in a WC Final and played a part in all of our triumphs.
Plus he got to live this moment in front of the Kop

I'd be VERY surprised if we stuck with Adrian as our number 2 even for a season. How much did the CL exit cost us? Having a good keeper replacement is understated and it's something we've never addressed properly but it feels like the time is right now especially after what happened this season. We should be in the next round of CL imoOriginally posted by labourRed View PostVery decent fee, if true.
A nunber two, as in goalkeeper. I reckon we'll stick with Adrian as Jaros is seemingly being fast tracked for that role once Adrian's contract runs out.
Stop penny pinching on these free, out of contract keepers and get someone reliable in like Martinez or Romero.

There were ups and downs, but he did his bit.
Degsy, Champion of everything
Also the look on his face watching Frank Jr lose his **** the other night, was priceless.
