Yep, fair play to him for offering (I assume) and then stepping up but he shouldnt have been put in that position. It's hardly hindsight either, I think every Liverpool fan on the planet knew exactly what was going to happen when the camera come back and he was standing there!!

Yet another of Rodgers' brain farts tonight. Everyone has a bad hair day and it didn't even rain today. Rodgers should have told Toure he was taking it end of, he did win the African Nations cup taking one after all.

im sure the commentator mentioned that kolo scored one at the africa footy thingy.

just because someone comes up and says i will take one they shouldnt get a look in unless the manager has given them the nod or agreed some sort of order. there may be a decent pen taker but maybe they arent as pushy and vocal. someone should have woken toure up and asked him.

Done ok in the first half IMO but his distribution from the second half onwards was atrocious when Besiktas decided to wake up. Still not quite sure why he was taking a penalty, considering he can't kick a ball.
