If the situation had been two players running towards each other then I'd have been screaming for a red card. However, Lovren was coming in from the side (it's more obvious on the view down the pitch rather than the one across it) so i don't think you can conclude that Gardener lined up the follow through, it was just an unfortunate collision imo.

It was meant that it's only lovren as in a few months back most couldn't of given two ****s as he was the worst player on the planet then (according to some on here). I don't want any of our players seriously hurt. But it will happen from time to time and I think the tackle was aggressive but fair. 95% probably disagree, I'll live with that. I think some of you hold footballers up as precious items, they aren't. They are on the whole ****s that are paid obscene amounts of money for kicking a bloody ball about. Like I've said, if I watch it back on the TV and see it differently, I will say so.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostYou must be on a wind up here Bob ?
I also think there is a unhealthy amount of football snobbery going on here. Crying at pulis and his tactics. It's what makes football interesting. You really just want to see every team playing football in its purest form? Bollocks. Just like with Wimbledon, its up to the skills of the better players to find a way round the ****house tactics. If they can't, tough ****.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

It's one of those that gets worse the more you see it and looking back at it now it should have been red.
I don't think Gardener has done it intentionally to be fair, he's a competitive player but it was a bad ****ing tackle and he will be out for a long time.
Not a fan of Lovren's but he's improved a lot of late and he deserves credit for that, hope he's ok and recovers well.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Got the ball, but was going in way out of control and with an intent to make serious contact, which he did and it was reckless, high and caused a major injury. Had to be a red.
Arsene Wengers head would've exploded had that been an Arsenal player.
Look at Skrtls challenge where he slid in recklessly. Didn't even make contact, but it was the intent that caused the foul. Which was correctly given. Unfortunately the ref bottled this decision.
Lets hope for a retrospective punishment for that little **** Gardner."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

I've thought this for a while. You need the ****house long ball teams, the silky passers, the relentless pressers.
Otherwise it looks like the World Cup.Was muß, das muß.

The ref was terrible alright. WBA were taking ages to take throw ins from the 3rd minute of the match (fletcher telling dawson to "calm it down" after 3 mins) and the ref never copped onto it. He pointed to his watch once like a ****in dope but one booking would have sorted it out.
We had them on the ropes at about 55mins and McAuley stopped the game pretending to be injured. A guy near me was shouting at him on the sidelines and mcAuley was just laughing at him. That delay tactics meant that it disrupted our game. The player was being professional (a pulis driven professional arsehole) but the ref was being a ****in idiot. Leave the cunt off for a minute or two....or actually i believe the rule is dont stop play if its not a head injury.
WBA are ****in disgrace to watch and makes such a mockery of "the best league in the world" bollocks. Some crowd like Celta Vigo would not stoop to that kind of ****e football. However, the fact is that we have a lad that cant command his box in goal and he cost us 2 points...

Yep .... how much of Migs clean sheets are down to him or down to our defensive system ... we always seem to give away ****ing silly mistake / fumble the ball over the line goalsOriginally posted by frank the tank View PostThe ref was terrible alright. I dont like him as our Goal Keeper ... never really took to him and would be happy to see him go ... he's not bad .. great shot stopper etc .. but as you said he does not command his area and we all know about his distribution. Considering recent comments I dont think he is going anywhere soon .... would be happy to either see the back of him in the summer or at very lest sign someone who is genuine competition, Bogdan is a very solid no. 3 but I would be surprised if he gets anywhere past thatAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. It was dangerous and out of control. It was in no way a fair challenge. You are not allowed to do that.Originally posted by Myo View PostNope gotta agree with Bobby here, no way this was a card, red or yellow, fair challenge
