For me his overhead kick in the first half more than cancels out the mistake for their first

Just don't understand his positioning. Who's in charge of the line? Him or VvD? If, as we suspect, it's VvD why is he not following simple instructions?
Hendo lambasting him in another incident was indicative of what he causes. How we didn't concede a penalty in the first few minutes I'll never know. If that was a league an Englishman would have gone down like a sack of heavy **** and another honest ref mistake would have seen us on the back foot from the off.
Him and Moreno are from the same gene pool. Can't fight your DNA.One tit for another.

Ach, he's just not good enough. There was a few instances early in the game. VVD dominated Dzeko early, great. Then interestingly around the 20min mark he went to win the ball from him but read the flight of the ball and moved off him thus not exposing himself
Lovren (and Gomez for that matter) don't have that ability in them. Lovren thinks, to me anyway, that he thinks he can win everything but no one can. VVD however can read the percentages.
We need another saavy CB if we want to be League winners.

i remember seeing robbie fowler doing that and it was such genius.Originally posted by labourRed View PostAch, he's just not good enough. There was a few instances early in the game. he backed towards the defender and as the defender jumped to win the ball fowler stepped forward about 4-5 yards and just collected the ball as it fell off the defenders head. pure genius.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

The Liverpool manager added: “The boys played a brilliant game over a very long period. Even the last minutes, when we conceded, Dejan Lovren was outstandingly good and this ball he misjudged – that is no problem if the full-back is in the right position. We made one mistake and the ref made one mistake and that was two goals for them. We take the penalty. Are we winning?

Hmmmmm I suspect that if we had other options then klopp wouldn't be trying to keep his head up.Originally posted by Fredo View PostThe Liverpool manager added: “The boys played a brilliant game over a very long period. The annoying thing is that his mistakes lead to goals.Originally posted by RichC View PostSwitched off massively once we’d gone 5 up, he wasn’t the only one as the entire team did but yet again through a lack of concentration he cost us a goal; frustrating to say the least.
His biggest problem is what lies between his ears and that I don’t think that’s going to change.
He got away with one minutes before when he tackled the ball straight into the forward and it ricocheted wide, so it wasn’t his only mistake, the signs were there.
All defenders will make mistakes, but his seem so avoidable.
We needed to take a time out at 5 and regroup. It is Kloppps one (minor) Achilles heel. The thing is, if he had that mentality in any way I’m not sure we’d ever be 5 up.Modifying post.

I think that lack of concentration is systemic in our team and the reason why I'm still not 100% confident we will be able to control the game in Rome. All it needs is 15 minutes of madness and we're done.Originally posted by RichC View PostSwitched off massively once we’d gone 5 up, he wasn’t the only one as the entire team did but yet again through a lack of concentration he cost us a goal; frustrating to say the least.

We manage to do it fine away at City. I dont see us losing 3-0, plus we aren’t good or arrogant enough to be complacent.Originally posted by Fredo View PostI think that lack of concentration is systemic in our team and the reason why I'm still not 100% confident we will be able to control the game in Rome. I wonder if fatigue plays a part also? We are an incredibly fit team, but when we play like we did last night the tempo is unsustainable. We then need someone to put their foot on the ball.
If we could bring in a midfielder who could assist with tempo and take the sting out of the game that would help, but we don’t have anyone.Modifying post.

Poor TAA getting the fake blame from Klopp so we can keep Lovren's head up for the remaining games. TAA was in perfect line with VvD, listening to instructions. Lovren broke the line leaving himself to fall on his sword or pull it out of the fire. He fell on it and hurt us too.One tit for another.
