I dont think he has improved. And when he does play well, he is unlucky...

First position I would strengthen... he is the weakest in our first 11. I would br more accepting if he was a squaddie

I think it's Henderson's big weakness, when we struggle to break a press he drops back far too deep to find the ball, almost along side the CBs, and we end up being pressed way into our own half, fail to play the ball out and buckle under the pressure. That kind of surrendering of the ball/position causes pressure which makes mistakes more likely, and dejan is prone to a loss of concentration now and again, as we know.

Defending is not the sole responsibility of the back 4. When we start creaking under pressure it's always a sign we've either stopped pressing efficiently and we've lost control of the game.

Lovren makes mistakes but all of them have it in them, even the best.

Some DCMs do this on instruction, such as Gerrard when he played the role but Henderson doesn't.

On some other posts laying control on Dejan's door is unfair, when we lose control, its shape and midfielders who get bypassed to easily and sometimes the defence don't help us by sitting too deep but again not Dejan's fault solely.

Some are whitewashing his mistakes though by saying all CBs have them. They do, but not with the frequency or the rudimentary nature of them. Think back to Spurs when he was rightfully hooked on 30mins or something... and before someone cites that as one example you'll see plenty other reckless challenges as well if you want to pick through other games.

I like Dejan as a guy but as a CB there are more solid, consistent CBs out there and hopefully we go on to buy one. But I also feel we need an extra DCM as well to address problems with the midfield's lack of control at times and to cover when Henderson is out.

To be honest, his reckless tackles are his most endearing trait. If someone is going to knobble the striker it's going to be dejan. We need a bit of that.

Been ****ing brilliant lately and shutting me up in a big way. He's a great character, a strong character, and to see him bawling on the pitch at the end really hurt.

I really like him now also.

Getting an insight into his personality has helped, he seems like a really good lad. He will make mistakes, but he just needs to limit them to an amount where they are comparable with other top class centre backs.

Has been excellent since he has played with Virgil.

He was brilliant, more than happy with our back 4 and don't see the need to touch it in the summer. Funds better spent elsewhere like behind them!! Him and Dijk look good together, the full backs are immense. Beyond annoying defending like that, making Ronaldo look like a bum and still somehow conceding 3!

Yep, has changed my opinion since xmas; no fluke that this has coincided with VVd coming in. Saw an interview last week with klopp & he was asked about Lovrens form & he said then that had LFC bought both Lovren & VVD together nobody would talk about Lovren being a problem.

i am starting to buy into him as an LFC player in a big way.
