I think this falls in line with one of my pet theories - squad personality. I may have wittered on about this before but I feel that you need to get the right balance of on pitch personalities to get the best out of players. Suffice to say i do not feel that Mignolet, Sakho and Toure bring the calm, level-headed sense to the party that would balance Moreno's special form of lunacy. Basically we need someone like Hyppia.Originally posted by Venton View PostYes, a well understood defensive rigour would help his wild exuberance. Our general struggling to get shape at the back isn't really helping him. Yeah I get that as Sakho Moreno and Toure all together scare the **** out of me, and then bring Mig into it and I need beta blockers just to watch us.Originally posted by dww View PostI think this falls in line with one of my pet theories - squad personality. Especially when they start playing around with it at the back

Delighted to see Klopp tear Moreno a new one last night. You could see the new arsehole forming on him. I actually thought he'd match Alba in terms of quality, but as we've seen numerous times, he's just thick. Absolutely thick. Even his end product is dire. I know it's been muted by folk, including myself, that he could be played as a left winger, but his crossing and delivery into the attacking areas are non-existent.

Morono
He's a little character and it seems the squad love him, but **** me he really struggles at times.
Flano at LB and Clone at RB will see us more solid i reckon. Maybe Smith and Flano even if we need to attack. Clones crossing is rubbish"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Didn't even notice that. Another autocorrect- this time it doesn't work. I have nothing against Clyne. Apart from his **** hair. He works hard and is a solid defender. If he could just cross the ball, he'd be top classOriginally posted by foresterbloke View PostYou mean DeClyne or FogOnTheClyne?

That doesn't say much. I can only think of one better goalkeeper than Brad Jones at the club for the last three years or so.Originally posted by Patricks_Berger View PostI can only think of 1 better left back at the club in the last ten years.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Riise was much maligned, by me too, but he was a darned sight better defensive and/or attacking LB than Moreno.
The rest of our season should have Flanno or Smith at LB except for non-important games when Moreno can get a game. He usually does well coming on as a sub against tiring legs. One tit for another.
