Well anyway, the positives from today are:

1. Lallana looked a little better. Not great but squad wise getting there.
2. Coutinho's had a little break, he plays like a worldie when he comes back from these breaks
3. Sterling scored
4. He was my captain on FF
5. We scored in the 17th straight away game, a club record
6. Rodgers will still look to change tactics in-game if his starting tactics are poor
7. We have a cup game on Tuesday, shame Ibe and Tex are not here to show their wares but Allen can get a run out. Maybe Sturridge too?

I believe Allen is out for quite some time yet... We've really missed him.

Couple of points

Does Rogers have the bottle to drop Gerrard ? I don't think he does

Should we bring in a defensive coach or is Mignolet the problem and the back four suffer as they have no confidence in him and this causes them to make mistakes

Would anyone bring in Brad Jones for a couple of games ?

I think Brendan is beginning to think the same thing. Its a case of sitting down and working out the best way to break it to the fans.

Brendan needs to face up the his weakness and deal with it head on. He needs to hire a defensive coach because he clearly hasn't got a clue himself.

Gerrard did annoy me today but what about Henderson?? Was he even playing? I swear I'm not looking for a scapegoat but I think he touched the ball twice. For someone with energy to burn he must've wasted so much of it running without the ball.

Personally, I thought that Mignolet wasn't too bad. Especially when compared to our 3 CBs. He claimed the ball well on a few occasions and made some decent saves. He wasn't the issue today. The injury to Lovren pretty much summed up the performance of our CBs today.

It ****in awful and the basis of most of our problems. Biggest gripe is that we try and play it short when we should just boot it out and vice versa.

We've lacked energy, almost totally lethargic. No tempo to our game and our pressing has been poor. Highlight of our season has been our performance away at Spurs. The rest has been ****ing poor. We've gone backwards and haven't kicked on.

Before destroying individual players this has been the major issue for me.

Pressing has been miles off, yes Suarez has left but that doesnt excuse Henderson and Sterling etc from not doing it enough. Also we dont compete for second balls anymore which we did last season. In both these regards we have regressed, to me its very reminiscent of Brendans first season in this regard

With the ball we look pedestrian and disjointed , maybe understandable with the changes made

In terms of players Mignolet is positionally terrible and has no bottle, Lovren looks positionally poor and I dont accept that its his partners affecting him. Its his own positional play thats his problem

Today like last week I thought selection was wrong. Sterling should have played v Villa, and Borini and Lucas should not be near a league starting line up. I can see the idea behind playing someone with movement up with Mario but that man isn't Borini hes not good enough. If he tries that again he has to go with someone else

That's what I meant. He'll sit down with Gerrard, and as Stevie loves the club so much he'll do what's right. He always has for us. He lives and breathes the club.

Zola still fancies us for the title and says we are not to our level yet. I've got to agree. Too many players are off the pace, no Sturridge and a few key players just coming back from injury and some still missing.
