This 'journalist' tactical idea to beat Real Madrid tomorrow. I can't say I disagree with the idea of dropping Balotelli and putting Coutinho on and Sterling up front.

To be honest I think that's the team we will see, the only question mark is will he start Mario, which I think he will, and whether it will be Coutinho or Lallana. I'd like to see us pack everyone in the middle and go with a diamond to swarm over their midfield to try and cut the supply to the forwards

I hope we use the diamond, but the fullbacks will need to have top games, but since Bale is out I think the diamond is the way to go.

Depends how we use him. Messi played at the tip of a 433 and even Berahimo for WBA isn't the biggest. Like Sturridge, he'll be constantly on the move, spinning out wide, dropping deep, so will be very hard for the CB's to stick with him.

I'm curious to see how it might work, but maybe against Madrid isn't the match to find out.
