Starved of service yet Mario has had the third highest number of shots in the league, starved of service yet he's never in the right place to be served and when he has the ball makes bad decisions? He missed an absolute sitter against QPR and I wasn't even surprised when he did, it's not the first time.

Sterling playing as a false nine will take too much away from his game like everyone was dubious when Brendan moved him from the outside to the number 10 role where he turned out to be brilliant?

Sterling is an absolutely awesome player, young and adaptable and is learning from Brendan. I'd trust him over any of our so called recognized strikers at the moment.

We are gifted in midfield with Coutinho, Lallana, Henderson, Allen, Gerrard. It makes perfect sense to build a system that enables us to use as many of those players as possible and as few of our strikers as possible. I.e. None of them!
