We really need 2 players for each position so assuming we continue to play with the front 3 we need 6 players for those positions. We currently have 4 (Salah, Firmino, Mane and Ings) plus a couple of people out on loan (Sturridge and Origi). Sturridge is done here but I wouldn't be surprised if Origi was back here next season. IMO we need another player in there and with all due respect to Ings and Origi both are relatively unproven so I would like someone closer to the level of the main 3 to come in in the summer. Ideally we could integrate them well and play 3 of 4 to allow us to keep everyone fresh.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

What has intelligence got to do with wisdom?Originally posted by Buzzo View Post
If only we were all as well versed and intelligent as you Fredo.
Going back to the thread I'm just curious of how we can accommodate a front six of equal or similar quality when they all would want to play all the time? Does Barca have players of the same quality as Suarez and Messi on the bench? Or does City have the same quality when De Bruyne or Aguero are not playing?
Maybe we should be doing better than Danny Ings to deputise for Firmino, but while he's here I think he should be given a chance. He fits in well in the way we play and his attitude is exactly what we need.
Some thought our season would end when we sold Coutinho, but it allowed other players to step up and we've done ok.Are we winning?

Much prefer him as an alternative to Solanke, who looks like a lost puppy.
Neither are quite up to it, although I'd keep Ings as a squad player next season so long as a better option, like Werner, was brought in.
Most likely one of those two are going to need to make a big contribution off the bench if we're to finish this season successfully. Ings looks far more likely to do that.

Ditto. He seems a top lad & the complete opposite of Ballotelli. Imagine if Mario had the attitude & determination that Danny possesses.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostI think Ings should stay, he's still got a striker's instinct, has supreme mental fortitude and isn't holding back despite having two serious injuries.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
