As he was out of contract unless we agreed compensation between the clubs, I believe that we won't have paid for him yet. If the fee is based on his performances this season then we shouldn't be paying too much

Solanke looked genuinely good pre-season and not because it was in a friendly environment but because he scored good goals, worked hard and also was full of confidence after the U-20 WC.

He’s had a few cameos here and there and the longer he hasn’t scored the more it has got into his head. He looks way down on confidence and that is affecting all aspects of his game, added to that he doesn’t seem a fit for the rest of our forward players so hard to see how he links up with them. Throwing him on for 10 min cameos are not doing him any favors.

He needs games at a level he can do well in, championship or even Rangers as many have said. He is too young to be written off but the longer he goes without scoring the harder it will be to regain his confidence

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He has not had a proper run of games and he is not getting anywhere near the first team if Mo Mane and Bobby are fit unless its the beer cup or early rounds of the FA Cup, both of which i think we went out early this campaign. He does offer us something different in terms of being able to play as a more traditional CF and the lad has unquestionable talent. He has another 2 years to itch out some kind of impression I would say. Origi on the other hand is off in the summer

Everyone is saying that but I'm not convinced. Sturridge will go, Solanke needs a loan move. I think that we will keep Ings and bring in someone but that is still only 5 players to cover 3 positions IMO we need one more. Origi did ok last year but has been poor out on loan, I don't see people queuing up to buy him and he is still young and capable of doing a job.

Origi is a far better option off the bench than Solanke

Send him on loan next season and see how does with some proper game time then make a call.

Ings must stink to be behind this guy.

Is he really ? went to a decent middle of the road team in a decent leg and did not pull any trees ? I think he has not pushed on after being given a reasonable amount of time

But in the red shirt of liverpool he has proven he is a far far better player than Solanke

I don't think that's a fair comparison as Origi has had much more of a run in the senior team and was not competing with our current front 3

Either way, happy for him to remain but I think we can do a lot better

Origi was by far the superior player before he got injured. He was starting to look like a potentially excellent player.

Since the injury, him and Solanke look about the same level to me.
                              Oh I don't know.

Yeah he was pivotal in our win over Dortmund 2nd leg. Scored a wonderful goal, cool as you like.
