I recall some esteemed posters making Henry comparisons with Origi pre injury

Solanke hasn’t had much luck, but hasn’t looked up to much. Origi has had a mediocre loan, though I’d prefer him to the other options on our bench.

As a player off the bench the Origi of last season is a better option than Solanke, and his pace means that he is still a threat in behind. Recently we have seen when Salah has gone off we have lacked an out ball. Origi's pace would maintain that threat and give defences something to worry about. No he isn't at the level of our front 3 but he's another option.

Either way, happy for him to remain but I think we can do a lot better
Yes we can do better, but he is an option that would cost us nothing and we are talking about as a 5th attacking option after the current front 3 and a new guy at or close to their level.

I honestly can't say that I have seen him this season I put the performances at the end of last year being down to not being fully fit. As I say I haven't seen him this year so don't know whether he is just not suited to the side he is playing in or whether the injuryear as taken it's toll. But personally I would give him a season back with us before making any decisions on his future.

The Origi loan hasn't worked out much other than giving him game time, but he's a whole better than Solanke. We've got 6m for that loan to Wolfsburg so we have pretty much not spent anything on him. His contract is up next year so we'll either flog him for a profit in the summer or offer him a contract and he can play a back up role next year.

The thing is he isn't really justifying a new contract at the moment.

We'll have Origi, Ings, Solanke, Wilson and Brewster's supposed to be being fast-tracked to first team training next season.

I think Klopp will take a look at the first three in particular (Origi, Ings and Solanke), as I reckon Wilson will be kept as an exciting option. Also, a new signing to come in too, who will be top class. That leaves one spot left for Origi, Ings, and Solanke to demonstrate in pre-season what they can do.

I'd have thought Solanke and Brewster would be best going out on loan. A new signing, Ings and Origi would offer 'experienced' backup and Wilson as a wildcard would give us a range of options

I find the loan thing really irritating. Klopp has a chance to mould young players in to his ways and sending them out just slows this down.

How great would it be if Buvac goes to Rangers to school Gerrard in coaching and to school a group of young players at the same time. Maybe that's what the falling out was, Buvac not liking a backwards move. Maybe he wanted an extended summer before moving to the damp and cold climate of Glasgow

I think Origi, Ings, new signing and Wilson is too many, considering they'll all be looking to kick on.

Brewster is only 18, so he still has time to recover from his injury, and develop with us.

Our new signing should be top class, so he'll be the first one we turn to when we look to mix the front three. That would leave Origi, Ings and Wilson, which I think is too many, considering where they all are in their development. They all need sufficient game time, and I can't see that happening. I think they'll be given pre-season, before Klopp decides who to offload.

Regardless of coaching methods etc., in order to develop, players need games and not just at reserve or youth level the best way to do that is loan them out somewhere and get game time.

He seems to have a lot of good attributes but at a level just below what is needed to perform in the premier league. I dont know if that difference is because of the tentativeness associated with a young player finding his feet or because he is not really cut out at the highest level in the premier league.

Maybe he is Salah 5 years ago.

He needs time to mature and get experience. Klopp seems to have a lot of faith in him and I wouldn't want to lose him and then he shows up with the Mancs in a few years ripping the Premier League to shreds.

Some have compared him to Woodburn but we need to remember that players come off age at different times.

Owen looked unstoppable very young but was burned out by the time he was in his mid 20s when most players reach their prime.

Yes- but they also need playing time and experience.

I wouldn't describe Owen as burned out, his hammy went which is a different thing.

I agree that we haven't given enough time in the role to Solanke to be able to judge him yet though. If we are going to take every young player, give them a few minutes at a time and then judge them on that we're not going to get that many coming through.
