Thanjk you.

Lukaku has tbf had a decent first season for them, I just dont think he is what United fans want to see. He also doesnt fit the style (what ever that is) of the rest of the players purchased.
They also suffer from having no playing identity. They have an unbalanced squad. One thing Klopp (and Guardiola, and Pochettino tbf) seems to have very succesfully done for us is develop a style and buy players that fit.
He then has talented players like Rashford and Martial, who are ultimately used in the wrong position (both would be great with us) and must be disillusioned.
Utd just seem a mess, and if De Gea leaves, they are in big trouble.
You know I thought Lukaku was going to be a world beater, he is very smart, he is diligent, a complete specimen and hugely ambitious but and its a big but, he lacks game intelligence. I think Jose to his credit has addressed it somewhat this season, but I think he has a glass ceiling

Looking at the table when this was first posted makes for interesting reading, particularly in how poor Arsenal and Chelsea have been.
Table end of Jan
All played 25 games.
Man City 68
Man Utd 53
Liverpool 50
Chelsea 50
Tottenham 48
Arsenal 42
Burnley 35
The gist of the post was to point out how many momre times the teams aounr us had to play each other.
10/02/2018 Tottenham vs Arsenal Totenham win
24/02/2018 Manchester United vs Chelsea Man U win
24/02/2018 Arsenal vs Manchester City City win
03/03/2018 Manchester City vs Chelsea City win
10/03/2018 Manchester United vs Liverpool Utd win
31/03/2018 Chelsea vs Tottenham Totenham win
07/04/2018 Manchester City vs Manchester United Utd win
14/04/2018 Tottenham vs Manchester City City win
28/04/2018 Manchester United vs Arsenal
05/05/2018 Chelsea vs Liverpool
City won 3/4
Utd won 3/3
Us won 0/1
Spurs won 2/3
Chelsea won 0/3
Arsenal won 0/2
So with only two of those games to play, we remain in a decent position. Ultimately a much better position than expected because Arsenal and Chelsea have dropped points against other teams, and Burnley have picked up to put themselves in contention for top 6. The gap between City - Utd - Us - Spurs, has remained pretty consistent.
Looking at the points which have been won since shows how close the League could have been except for Citys amazing start to the season, and confirms how poor Chelsea and Arsenal have been over the last 3 months.
Man City 87 (+19)
Man Utd 71 (+18)
Liverpool 70 (+20)
Tottenham 68 (+20)
Chelsea 60 (+10)
Arsenal 54 (+12)
Burnley 52 (+17)
It's always been like that. Or at least has been for years anyway. Everyone gets the same for reaching the last 16 or whatever but the market pool is split that way yeah.
