Totally agree. That plus maintaining momentum are important. I'd rest people, of course, but sparingly. It comes with a risk but I'd say one that is preferable to those that come with making huge changes.Originally posted by Nicey View PostIn this league, the only way to stay safe is to aggressively go after the highest possible position, the title is gone, we have to do everything to get 2nd. If we think this is done and rest players you can easily drop 6 points in the blink of an eye. We have to play Chelsea away, thats 3 points we can drop right there, all it would take is 1 **** up before that .. and suddnly we are within 1 point of them going into the last 2 games with potentially a big Champions Lg game to navigate. If they drop any points from here on in I think its done but until then its not over untill its over.Like blood on iron

I think regardless of silverware this season, we have made real progress as a football club and as a team. We are on very solid ground going forward and you can make a case for us, edging out in front of the chasing pack in terms of a club looking most likely to secure champions lg football next season. I think that has to be the number 1 goal, secure Champions lg football, by doing that you will make it easier to attract the top players, have more money to pay them which in turn will make it easier to win titles.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostTotally agree. Right now, we have to be one of the most attractive football clubs in world football for young talented players, with a manager players want to sign for. We need to push on in the summer.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

Have you watched Utd recently? More than capable of slipping up.
The big negative for us is that Carlton ‘show pony’ Pogba, and ‘1/2 mil pw’ Sanchez are likely getting dropped.Modifying post.

I'm scratching my head how in Gods name they are in 2nd in supposedly the toughest lg in the world. They have rode their luck but you have to give it Jose as soul destroying his football is, he knows how to get the job done.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

I can easily see them dropping points ... Bournemouth, Spurs, Arsenal followed by Brighton and West Ham away finishing with Watford.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

I think that there are a few factors at play here, I still think the name and reputation of the club and Mourinho influence the way that teams play against them and the fear IMO plays a large part. As well as that De Gea has got them out of jail alot, as have a few late goals and rather fortunate decisions. And as much as we like to run them down they do have some good players and Mourinho knows how to get results. Personally I don't think he gets the best out of their players and long may that continue. I really can't wait for them to implode but unfortunately even when that happens they will still be top 6.Originally posted by Nicey View PostI'm scratching my head how in Gods name they are in 2nd in supposedly the toughest lg in the world. and it also shows that these teams who think its all a done deal [including us, gulps...] can still have a wobble.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostNot a lot being made of Spurs' draw to Brighton yesterday.
I think that's a magnificent result for us!

Abso ****ing lutly I was still swearing at the TV for crap defending when they got a penalty. Big result for us, now we can enjoy United against Bournemouth tonight and crucially Chelsea away to Burnley tomorrow night, anything but a win there and we have qualified for the Champions Lg back to back, seeing what a ****ing Omnishambles Arsenal are right now really shines a light on how important it is to qualify for that tournament

Lukaku has tbf had a decent first season for them, I just dont think he is what United fans want to see. He also doesnt fit the style (what ever that is) of the rest of the players purchased.
They also suffer from having no playing identity. They have an unbalanced squad. One thing Klopp (and Guardiola, and Pochettino tbf) seems to have very succesfully done for us is develop a style and buy players that fit.
He then has talented players like Rashford and Martial, who are ultimately used in the wrong position (both would be great with us) and must be disillusioned.
Utd just seem a mess, and if De Gea leaves, they are in big trouble.Modifying post.
