Absolute ditto. Atrocious hangover, had 3 hours sleep after a Friday bender, then drank from 2pm til 7am this morning....and the loss feels really bad. Can't shake the gloom. May be recency bias but it feels worse than 2007, despite our clear upward trajectory and reasons to be positive about the summer and beyond.



Absolutely gutted. Properly ****ing gutted.

2007 was so close to number 5 so it didn't hurt so much.

This is a third final loss in 3 years, that hurts.

It's cheating and while it might win you things, I'd rather win fairly.

Ramos went to show Salah who was ‘boss’, a tough CB laying a marker down. I don’t think he planned to bust his shoulder but he used the opportunity to make the most of the tackle and Salah (our best player) ended up going off when we were on top.

How many times during match threads have people called for one of our players to smash someone - you think Souness, Gerrard, Mascherano, Suarez an co never pushed the boundaries with their will to win. It’s a battle on the pitch and you can either fight back or take it.

It will be part and parcel of the game for as long as people in positions of responsibility... Those in the media for instance... and influence tolerate it instead of calling cheats cheats.

This I agree with, if it was stamped out by proper officiating then it might stop.

Oddly for us I thought that defence were our best area of the pitch on the day I thought that Robertson and Lovren in particular were excellennt, and VVD and TAA were good as well. Attack wise Mane was by far our best attacking player, Bobby was quiet, Salah went obviously went off injured and I didn't really think Lallana was fit and it showed.

I think the performance just wasn't there from us and Madrid were probably slightly the better side, unfortunately we didn't really make them play well to win (and I'm not just talking about the mistakes).

I reckon their depth would have told in the end if we hadn't of conceded two silly goals.

I'd be more than happy to lose to Bale's goal but Karius (god bless him) royally ****ed up a brilliant run.
