I know that Coutinho was great back in the day, but he hasn't been at that level for a while. He's not a Klopp player because he doesn't work enough off the ball so you'd be keeping him in reserve for those matches where we are sure we'd be dominating them as they park the bus. The trouble with that is you're trying to get someone who's top class at unlocking defences but is happy to warm the bench for a lot of the matches, and it's rare to find that. That goes for any striker who we want to beef up the squad - who is going to be good enough and want to sit there waiting?Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

It's a challenge no doubt but Coutinho doesn't have many options. Depends what you mean by that level, he's been injured a lot yes but when he played at FC Bayern, he played a great season.Originally posted by Venton View PostI know that Coutinho was great back in the day, but he hasn't been at that level for a while. They didn't take him permanently because Barca demanded 100mil.
Even Bayern have yet to come close to paying that for an individual in their history to date.
He's still quality but it's the injuries that are keeping him from showing it.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Another midfielder with injury problems he'd fit back in wellOriginally posted by Corndog View PostIt's a challenge no doubt but Coutinho doesn't have many options. Depends what you mean by that level, he's been injured a lot yes but when he played at FC Bayern, he played a great season.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
