Best of luck to him, I fear that is his season done
Real shame as he looked like he was jus establishing himself
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
hard work having to listen to two mancs say its not a red. it'd be a different tune if the challenge was on Ronaldo
big loss to the squad. less options in midfield and attack
I don't get the claims it's not a red or even a foul. The challenge is from behind with force and into the back of Elliott's knee. I don't like the punishment being determined by the degree of the injury, but it was a bad challenge and endangered an opponent

Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play

Was thinking the same.
It was a ****house challenge, and they were flying into a few of them. Imagine the outage of that had happened to Ronaldo yesterday? I’ll bet nobody goes near Ronaldo with a challenge like that this season.
Yeah no idea, but having just read up on it a bit it seems likely to be part of a wider ankle break.
No idea what the red was doing. Allowing play on, just a complete and utter cunt.

Yeah.
I think there is a wider worring precedent that these ferocious lunge tackles are being ignored or the severity is being under mined. It will take a bad injury on the likes of Kane or Ronaldo for the issue to be viewed differently.

Like anything, the more challenges go unpunished, the harder and more frequently the challenges will go in. It feels especially wrong when an 18 year old wins over klopp and ges picked to start (from memory) every game so far, shows he belongs, and the gets robbed of the season. Hopefully that's all it is.
