That space in behind him is being targeted this season. Cross is easy from then and from that point it’s almost undefendable given the quality of the header.

We played well though and Thiago is ****ing class!

I had to take a couple of hours away from here in an attempt to calm down after the final whistle. I haven't seen any of the pundits comments, manager's response or read any of the comments on here or anywhere else since the game finished. A few thoughts:

- Pickford's challenge was a red card as clear as you like, if the rules say that VVD being offside overrules anything that comes after someone seriously needs to look at that rule, because clearly it's wrong
- I'd need to see this again but I'm not convinced that VVD was offside, the lines I saw in the match seemed to be drawn to a player near him where there looks to be someone's heal in the middle of the goal playing him on, but as I say I need to see that again.
- Henderson's goal, not offside, I don't understand how that is given offside
- Richarlison is a cunt - I've said it before but that was a cunt's challenge on Thiago
- Referee was shocking aside from all of the above there were a number of other things that he got wrong throughout the match.
- Our performance wasn't great it was much better than last time out, just really disappointed not to have got the 3 points.
- Adrian was ok, for me he looked a little nervous which is understandable I was probably a bit harsh on him in the match but am glad he came through it ok. Still want Alisson back ASAP.
- The overriding feeling at the moment is that we have been robbed, still not happy about it, but have calmed down a little.

Thiago finished the game and big Virg was able to walk off

I'm clinging to the hope that as a result neither sustained serious injuries.

Not entirely hopeful as both challenges were horrific.

Everton have been doing that for years. Kicking us all over the pitch and deliberately trying to injury players.

If we do loose Virg of Thiago as a result of those challenges I hope we even the score at Anfield in the new year.
