I still don’t really know what I’m looking at with th lines. But there is zero chance the vertical ones are accurate.

Looks like they're using the line that goes up and down the pitch to pinpoint both Firmino and they're fella. Makes no sense when considering they were probably a metre apart

The idea that the plot point is and always have been from the armpit is inconsistent with what has been said previously about how the new handball rule impacts on these offside calls.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I can’t see a way that the vertical lines don’t prove that th guys are offside?

Even though it would man the goal would definitely have stood they should just bin it off. It’s clearly not possible to prove anything conclusive. Use it for the ones where the linesman’s had a shocker and just lace it as is for those ones. It’s embarrassing. I’ve never seen a single person explain the decision and what all the kind mean post match.

The vertical line is just used to get the projection onto the pitch this looks further forward because the camera angle is not looking straight along the defensive line. The green line along the ground is the projection of the Leicester guy's furthest forward point of his body that he can score with based. My understanding of how it works is that the operator has to pick the point on the player and the projection lines are done automatically by the software, so the vertical lines give the correct projection onto the pitch without using input (assuming that everything is calibrated correctly). The blue line is Firmino's supposed foot position. The lines are 'thickened' to allow them to be easier to see on TV and screens.
