We're turned into the mentality midgets.

I think most of the common sense comment had come from non-LFC sources.

The likes of Neville, Ferdinand and now Pep understand the plight better than most of us and our own.

          Aye, seems so.

We need to sort it out and fast tho. Treat top 4 like this years title battle. That was a huge blow on Saturday and we can’t afford another like that. Chavs look like they’re picking up and we haven’t got any room to play with. Hopefully Leicestershire will do what they did last season but we can’t rely on that- and defo can’t rely on having the decisions Scum had to get them into top 4.

We're actually still really good at getting in behind the defence (the hard part) but the final ball at the moment just seems so wasteful.

It's so hard to explain but when City do it, they are so clinical to the point that you know it's a goal once they hit that byline.

If you mark our forwards, who else is getting in there as an option? Maybe Keita if he was playing...? Man City have Gundogan and B. Silva joining the attack.

Edit: I think I might be onto something here haha. Gini used to get in the box everytime but he's nowhere to be seen recently. He's had to tweak his role in the team as we don't have a DM.

Good point - City have been so effective in no small part to Gundogen's willingness to get into the box.

Another reason to get Henderson back into midfield - and not as the deepest player.

Perhaps we'll come storming back with wins versus Leipzig and Everton...Imagine how good that would feel.

I don't think we're far off. Errors were freakish the last couple of games, but everything else is not far off. We dominate but we don't finish off our chances, the exceptions being West Ham and Spurs, which due to the emphatic nature of the results for both these games, we always felt we played excellent. Felt the same vs Leicester where it felt like daylight robbery in the end because we shot ourselves in the foot for the last two goals and were harshly treated for the VAR decision.

When things go well, all these little things don't count and we brush them off.
                  Are we winning?

I agree with that. I'm a bit worried about our fragility when we concede a goal - but if we were to go 2-0 or 3-0 up it might help!

None of these VAR decisions should be a surprise anymore - they've been shown to be farcical since day one. Until it can be automatic like goal line technology, without the need for intervention by useless cretins (refs and Stockley Park tossers) then it will always be subjective and interpretive... the complete opposite of how it was sold in to everyone.

"VAR will get 99% of all decisions right..." - utter bollocks, it's still down to interpretation, where you draw the lines, if you can draw a ****ing straight line, using multiple parts of the body, choosing whichever frame you like to suit the narrative. It's just corrupt as **** and all it does is jobs for the boys... technology shouldn't be open to interpretation. If it is, it's still nothing better than pure human judgement (i.e. guesswork) which is what we had to start with... so **** it all off. It's killing the game, killing the goal celebration and making players stand around for far too long waiting for someone in Stockley Park to finish cracking one out...

its ****ing dead simple really; if they are drawing imaginary lines that are that tight, you go with the pitch officials.

The stockley tossers cannot define when the ball is struck so is too subjective.

It reminds me of when tennis bought in their line technology in the early 80's & it was a farce for quite a few years......

Doe anyone know what the story with VAR is is someone looking at these questionable or tight decisions after the fact to evaluate the process and improve the way things are done are are we just stuck with the sit show as is.

For me the decision for the FA to overturn red cards that were given to after the referee looked at the pitch side monitor is an admission that the system is flawed, I'm really disappointed that the journalists and pundits haven't been making more of this...

I almost agree- I think if they need to draw lines, then give the attacker the benefit of the doubt...

I know it wouldn’t have helped us on Saturday- but honestly these kind of goals wouldn’t piss me off, if it was just consistent...

To be honest I don't have an issue with the use of the lines etc if things are accurate, the issue for me is that there is a margin of error associated with when the ball is played, picking the appropriate points on both defender and attacker, (all of which are subjective) as well as calibration of equipment. Adding all these sources of error together I don't believe that you can get the sub-cm accuracy that they are trying to achieve.
