What a roller coaster it is watching this team. Been through the bad and the good.. but this is madness at the moment. Even 1-0 up you felt they would throw it away and thanks to our mates at VAR and defensive howlers we **** it up again...

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think Hamann was right about Thiago. Since he’s come in, we’ve lost our identity even more. Midfield is not as industrious. I don’t blame him, more the circumstances.
To be fair to Thiago, I'm sure he wouldn't have played that much if we didn't have that many injuries. He would have been bedded in the side. I think it didn't help him playing so many games. A lot of things have contributed to this bad run of results.
        Are we winning?

Maybe I'm missing something here, or being really pedantic, but these are the lines for the offside for the first goal. I thought you could score with any part of your body above the sleeve of the shirt, if that is the case why is the line going through the middle of the sleeved part of his arm?
This is what confused me as well, the line should come from the attackers sleeve, not his armpit. Unless the rule is changed again?

We were poor there is no doubt about it but the officials were awful, Leicester were diving and getting freekicks all over the place the one they scored from was questionable, the VAR for the offside looks iffy to me as I posted above, the second goal there is a blatant
2 handed push on Mane in the build up, not sure how the ref misses that. without those dubious calls we win that.

Of course we should have defended better but sometimes you just need those breaks and IMO we haven't been getting the rub of the green.

Played fairly well when we had the ball but always looked vulnerable to the ball over the top.

Usual VAR bull**** for a PL game.

I don't have a clue anymore, but my understanding is that last season it was the shoulder this season it's the sleeve (or at least where there is arm in the sleeve, not a bit of material freely flapping in the wind). To me that looks like the line is drawn from the shoulder which (as I understand the current rules) is wrong. I know it seems really pedantic, but when we are talking about offsides as tight as that it is important to get things right...

I don't think Thiago was bought for the role he's currently playing, he would have been bought with a mind to playing alongside a Fab or Hendo as the DM player, giving him more licence to play his game. But we've not seen that yet.

I think they just make it up as they go along.

As I say I'm not sure if it would make any difference, but it's a tight call, and to me that is measured from the wrong place. Highlights the issue with VAR. The Mane one looks to be from the furthest point forward of Mane's arm in the sleeve whereas the one today is from the shoulder and the line goes through the middle of his arm. Clearly different interpretations being applied, so there is a mistake in at least one of them.

                        VAR is bull****.

Probably the only one, but I saw alot of positives in that game. We showed signs of recovery, but I reckon the lads must feel like the world is against them right now.

For 75mins we controlled the game, but I said early in the second half it had the feeling of a game where we would fail to score and they would nick something either on the break through Vardy or from a set-piece. Obviously I was wrong on the first point, but right on the second.

Until they equalised, we played well. But we're mentally shot and today is going to make that worse. We're imploding.

We can blame VAR and refs every time but the troubling fact is we have been woeful since the latter stage of last season, embarrassing at times. Individual performances, team selections and tactics should not be beyond criticism due to rose tinted glasses. We have been diabolical in the final third for ages and the front three is no longer working as a unit. Clearly either Mane and Salah hate each other or they have lost all understanding to play together and one of them needs to go in the summer. Yes the injuries have been a disaster but there is enough talent at our disposal to be doing much much better. And, if Hendo is played at CB again this season then serious questions have to be asked regarding team selection and decision making when our backs are against the wall. Everton next, never thought I’d take a draw against that shower of ****e.
