(We received the results of these latter results later.)

All the players involved WERE available for the Shrewsbury game but, because they'd missed training whilst isolating unnecessarily, were not regarded by Klopp as fit enough to play.

Technically Klopp was wrong to call the results 'false positives' and to say the players were 'ineligible' for the Shrewsbury game.

The club's external comms could have been clearer and, had they been, fewer hares would've been set running.

They've just been bought over by the NYTimes.

I imagine there's going to be some changes in the coming months

I love how arsenal fans are still whinging about it, even though we had more (non false) positive cases than they had last week when they hit the spurs game postponed…

It’s a load of bollox that people are questioning our integrity, the club clearly acted in good faith- what did we have to gain from getting it postponed? If we were gonna pull a fast one it woulda been one of the league games urging AFCON… Also, if they want a story about clubs trying to use covid postponements to help themselves, there’s a few obvious cases- arsenal and palace for example, and I wonder about United too- getting a little pre season break as soon as the new manager comes in…
        I don't tip

Added to that Klopp has publicly stated he would prefer games to be played

I think that rested Arsenal team turns us over. I hope I'm wrong as I think a full team blows Chelsea away in the final.

But Sunday is more important to consolidate second.

It’s a trophy, so it’s important to get to the final, that’s what Liverpool teams of the past would do. The league is another game which should not be entering our thoughts at this stage.
                        Are we winning?

Yeah, i am not confident, the saving grace is that they have nothing on the bench so the longer the game goes on without them in the lead (potentially ET), the higher the changes that we progress

You mean the injury ravaged, Covid affected squad...... Party on the bench is the only exclusion from their strongest 11

It will only make it sweeter when we beat them, they’ll come at us......won’t get away with 10 behind the ball like at Anfield
