Why Gomez (who has barely played and when he has, he has been bang average), Morton (utterly blown away by Chelsea and Spurs) or Gordon (a great prospect but not within a million miles of being ready to be a starter of choice in a must-win EPL game)?

I know a lot of people don't care about this competition but I'd love for us to win it. It's so good to have a nice cup run and get game time into fringe players & the fact we are so close to getting into the final makes it seem like a big deal, which imo it is. We have such a great chance to get into a final and win the whole thing. I think that's why I was so pissed off in the first leg as we should have put the tie to bed and hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the arse.

I’m exactly the same. I think it’s an absolute tinpot of a competition but for the sake of one more game and since the league title is gone, let’s have it.

Most of all I want Klopp and this group of players to win whatever they can now.

The team I've mentioned has the ability to go there and get a result while there's still enough wiggle room to put out some fresh legs against Palace on Sunday. Why this game can't be played on Wednesday, I don't know.

I still haven't given up on the league but we have to beat Palace on Sunday, no doubt.

So I guess both games are must-wins but there's no chance we can play full steam and full strength for both. Need to find a compromise somewhere.

Happy to see Firmino is finding his swagger and smile. Beating Arsenal is more important than winning against Palace. I'd go same team as well, then some changes for Palace.

Agree on the personnel (thought wouldn't be upset to see Gordon tbh) but i'd definitely change Jota and Minamino - Jota is so much better from the left
