100% - it shows ambition and keeps guys on their toes. Saying it will block progress of youngsters if we sign player x is also rubbish - if you are good enough you’ll make it

I still think we beat them away as they’ll need to come out more - the sad thing is we could see this. Midfield and depth up front - 2 high quality available players...... they can be got for not insane money either if you ship clever

Saying that, it’s clear as day that we need to add some sort of creativity to this side.

Think we need mobility and physicality in the middle as much as we need creativity there.

Just a mention for the forgotten man. I think we really missed Origi today. He does well in this competition and he has the attributes to break the low block.

A team down to 10 man packs out the defence and tries to make it as hard to score as possible. It's not unknown for us to struggle against 11 men when their game plan is to also drop back and defend their way to a result. We're set up to use pace to exploit space - if there's no space to attack we end up shuffling the ball around for large parts of the game looking clueless.

Robbo, TAA, Alisson, Fabinho, Salah are all capable of playing the best football of their careers again, but I don't think any of the other regular first teamers are ever getting back to their best unfortunately and are on a decline, be it through injury or age or just a consistent lack of form.

We need big investment, it's run its course. Being in the running up until December is what we regularly used to do before Klopp arrived, and the fact that we kept up with City until then should not be an endorsement of the squad being better than some of us think. The writing was on the wall last season, and it's there again now.

Nothing is getting better without new faces, nothing at all, it's only going to get worse. FSG need to invest.

We have a few players who are on a decline, and a few who are not quite good enough.
Take out mane and salah and we are seriously struggling.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I agree that the squad is generally in a downward trend due to age and injury of key players, but a couple of good signings could make the picture seem far less concerning and reduce the reliance on the names mentioned. It’s getting increasingly urgent though.

People rightly question where we would be without salah, but where would we be without the jota signing, he’s come in and scored a goal every other game?

Pretty sure they have taken nothing out of the club.

Awful, awful performance. 70 mins against 10 men and don't even get a shot on target. That is a disgrace.

Hendo is getting worse. Needs dropping but we have no bodies in midfield.

Milner is done. Shouldn't be anywhere near the first team now, but our ****ing tightwad owners refuse to upgrade the side.

Minamino will get all the abuse, but he did more in that game than Jota and Firmino combined. Both of them offered **** all. Barely even noticed Firmino was playing he was that pointless. Runs around doing karate kicks closing players down like it makes a difference

Matip was our most attacking player which says something.

TAA looked leggy as ****, covid looks to have ruined him again.

Robbo's crossing has gone to ****. Absolutely awful.

FK's and corners. WHAT THE **** ARE THESE ****S DOING?? How can you **** up literally every single corner and FK? Not even one got near being put in a dangerous spot. Its a total disgrace. Its one of the easiest ways to create a chance and put their defenders under pressure and they just waste them! They clearly do not practice attacking dead ball routines at all.

If that game doesn't point out to FSG how much we need some fresh blood then nothing will. Minamino isn't good enough, Milner and Hendo are looking their ages more and more by the day and our options off the bench are relegation fodder levels bad.

Can't say I disagree with any of the above tbh.
