I still think we go through but that was abject going forward, fairly solid st the back. The Milderson midfield guarantees zero creativity, Jota needs better players around him and as much as I like Taki he isn’t good enough. We need another forward, proper cover for Trent and another midfielder

I’m sure Elliot will be like a new signing when us back though….

      Frustrating

Would have won that at a canter with Salah, Naby and Mane. Absolutely useless up front without them. FSG needed to strengthen and once again, they’ve drop shouldered it…

No-one came out of tonight with any kudos, bang average right across the park tonight. Arsenal we’re dead on their feet for the last twenty mins and still we couldn’t string two passes together to cut through them. ****e, worst game of the season..

How long have you been waiting to unleash that?

A bit of an overreaction here. We were really rusty but that has been due to circumstances out of our control. Think the game will give a number of players a bit of sharpness going into weekend.

Saying that, it’s clear as day that we need to add some sort of creativity to this side.

Amid the disappointment of the scoreline, at least we can take solace from another towering performance from Captain Fantastic, replete with his usual pace, power, guile, panache, and last but not least, epic leadership oozing from every pore. What a man. It's a shame we didn't sign him to a 10 year extension....but there's still time. If Salah wants £500k per week, surely Captain Fantastic must be bumped up to £499,999 per week.

That midfield performance and outcome was so obvious. Painfully slow, uncomfortable on the ball and zero creativity. Dreadful all round display, I did think Jones and Neco did well. Matip was one of our biggest attacking threats ffs.

Huge chance to blow them away and get into a final.

Not the first time I’ve used it - Hendo was better than he’s been for a while but Milner is past it. Shocking state of affairs when he starts - Klopp has a blind spot towards them.

He was, but he is final ball is soooooooooooooooo bad. Gomez looked good when he came on.

Thought we played better when Matip, Milner, Fab went off.

                        You cant play both

And Milners race may be run at this level. Hendo can do the Milner role for a few seasons now.

it does seem to be the case alright and it usually has the same outcome. We desperately need to go into the market and address blatantly obvious problems. Not the end of the world tonight with this result but we can all see where the issues lie.

And they're on the fence with Salah's contract... **** me we are **** without him.... This squad needs a huge overhaul and guess what ...#FSG won't give him a ****ing penny....just way too predictable...we knew Afcon was coming.... **** I would have taken Chris Wood up front tonight...

We now know, for certain, that without Salah and Mane we are in big trouble.
Even with him we have that kind of game in us. Our other ‘first names on the team sheet’ players are on the wane now. It’s the midfield predominantly imo. Hendo is too slow and too old (same for Milner), but Bobby also looks done too. Maybe it is burnout, I don’t really know. But needing a rebuild job towards the end of a manager’s tenure is not a great situation.

He’s no spring chicken though. What if we give him £400k a week and then break him too?
