Depends, hopefully he didn't if he had it

It's happened before in the FA Cup hasn't it? If they don't have it then it's just tough

Would be interesting to see how we can fit this game if this is postponed. Might have to forfeit that cup altogether and protect the players. Just give it to the Arsenal.
        Are we winning?

Knowing the Muppets In Charge they will refuse on the grounds we have U23's available and we used them in previous rounds...

That's right, I have a recollection of commentators saying previously that if the tie had been an away game rather than a home game for the lower league team VAR would have looked at that...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That's why I was asking about the rules earlier, they needed to set out the rules before now otherwise a decision could look dodgy now.

At what point do they just shut down for a bit? The numbers of new daily cases are at an all time high, as the transmissibility of the current variant is staggering. Clearly, whatever measures teams (and the authorities) are taking to curb transmission is no longer enough.

I know that juggling all the timetables is very complicated, but so many results have been tainted by this now, that the competitions are quickly losing their integrity.

I think that's fair enough to be honest

How many UK and European based players have just travelled to Africa where a large majority haven't been vaccinated at all? Players who have been in contact with infected colleagues l. These federations only have their pockets in mind and won't shut down unless forced to do so by their governments

We have so many youth players this surely can't be a question of not having enough players...it must be about not having enough good players to make the semi credible.

I think Shrewsbury aren't following Premier League Covid protocols, so further risks and fun to be had there too!

To be honest it probably is fair enough, but I would be surprised if they rejected our request, the reason being this is the stage it starts making money for them, hence the reason for not changing to 1 leg which was what the clubs wanted. If they force us to put an U23 side out (kind of level we put out when we were in the Club world cup the tie will be over after 1 leg, there will be no interest in the 2nd leg and big clubs will take it even less seriously in future than they do now.

That said the people in charge of EFL are a bunch of muppets so we can't rule out them cutting off their nose to spite their face...

There will be multiple sets of rules, one for the PL, one for the EFL (Inc Carabao cup) and one from the FA. We could end up with different decision for each competition if we also request to postpone the FA Cup tie.
