They didn't believe that Karius had caught it. Which, to be fair....Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostSeems to be a very slow response to permitting or denying the request to have the game postponed.
I wonder whether Mo, Naby and Sadio are busy exporting it now. Safd for the Afcon if that's the case.

And we're expected to believe that out of a squad of 80 odd players they can't field a team? Absolute ****ing bull****, a joke and a disgrace, but who's surprised?
I've been banging the drum about how crooked the game is for years but what's going on this season with cancellations even has me shocked, blatant cheating, corruption and manipulation of results to suit certain teams.
Since you can only register 25 first team players and some youth players clearly this is wrong. That said to a certain extent I agree with the principle of 'what are squads for...' But in the interests of fairness the judgement has to be made on the basis of a 25 man squad. I don't like the principle that the league has been applying that anyone who has played a minute of league football counts as a senior player, this somewhat discourages teams from giving kids a run out. - giving a young kid a run out effectively says that you would be happy for that kid to play 90mins in potentially a big league game if there are alot of Covid cases, now I know that would probably have to happen in an injury crisis in non-Covid times, but they have set precedents with the postponements which I wonder if will continue after Covid. Another interesting side effect of this is what will teams do in this transfer window? Normally you look to strengthen the squad, but I wonder if sides will look to thin their squads a bit, IMO it could be beneficial to move on some of the youngsters who have had a brief first team run out and go with one fewer player making it easier for games to be postponed than rely on a youngster the PL have deemed a first teamer but you don't think is ready to be relied on...The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I assume that we will probably need to see where we are on Friday or something, maybe some of the guys who were out at the weekend will be back and the game can go ahead? If they are still positive or case numbers are still increasing then we will probably request that to be postponed as well.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostWhat’s the sketch with our FA Cup match then? Echo are reporting that all FA Cup ties have to go ahead if clubs have enough players on their books regardless of experience, so from our side it presumably can't be called off as we have a large youth squad if necessary, , I guess Shrewsbury have a smaller squad so are more susceptible but you would imagine any postponement would come from their side...
