Liverpool v Arsenal (a) Caraboa Cup Semi Final 1st Leg
Does anyone outside of football still use a fax machine
This is the EFL, not the FA with all their fancy smart technology
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
I think the decision makers are ****ting their pants about allowing us to postpone... given they shafted Leyton Orient against Tottenham for exactly the same reason and made them forfeit the game.
The fume either way from other club fans will be raging... because it's us, and not Citeh, Utd, Spurs, Chavs or Arse themselves...
I think the situation here is slightly different to the Spurs-Leyton Orient situation. The rules say that the game is forfeit if you can't find a suitable time to play it before the scheduled date of the next round. In the case of Leyton Orient the next round was a week later, in this case the final isn't until the end of February, so we have 7/8 weeks to find an alternative date. I have no doubt if we are allowed to postpone there will be other fans outraged at us getting preferential treatment but those are the rules. The thing that screwed Leyton Orient over was the fact that the rounds were so close together at that stage.

I think it is reasonable enough. Plenty of fans will have made travel and accommodation plans already for the second leg. The first leg fans may lose out but no point in screwing over second leg fans too

It seems the most sensible outcome, assuming of course the Covid situation is resolved by next week

Potentially that the earlier cases would be enough to tip the balance back to go ahead. Also, whats the 6 and 7 day of self isolation test rule. Could they then proceed to play with negative tests?
plus they'd have a B list registered comprising of 40 odd players from the youth teams that can also be called up if required.
And we're expected to believe that out of a squad of 80 odd players they can't field a team? Absolute ****ing bull****, a joke and a disgrace, but who's surprised?
I've been banging the drum about how crooked the game is for years but what's going on this season with cancellations even has me shocked, blatant cheating, corruption and manipulation of results to suit certain teams.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
