Last season when Klopp omitted Harvey from the team, they picked up on performances & results...it's glaringly obvious that Klopp is trying to shoehorn a square peg into a round hole in that team!...come on, boss, you don't owe anyone any favours but the fans who adore you!Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Lijnders does look like he's the escpaed goat huh?
I struggle to see Klopp would be that easily influenced but if we have dropped the analytics in favour of simply signing someone who the manager, or assistant manager, wants then that would be beyond irresponsible given how well our recruitment has done in the past 5 years or so.
Hoping it is putting two and two together and getting five.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Just messing around but I'd say the £200m Carragher suggested we need to spend is conservative if we want to properly rebuild the squad:
GK: Ali / Kelleher / New backup GK
CB: VVD / Konate / Matip / New CB
FB: Trent / Ramsey / Robbo / Tsimi
DM: Fab / New DM
CM: Thiago / Naby / Henderson / New CM / New CM
FW: Mo / Nunez / Diaz / Gakpo / Jota / New backup striker
Squad players: Curtis, Harvey, Carvalho, Bajcetic.
Out: Adrian, Gomez, Phillips, Ox, Milner, Firmino (we'd basically get no transfer fees for this lot).
I'd say we'd need £300-400m for that lot realistically.

Don't think we need another bloody attacker. We have 5 of the *******s, plus Carvalho and Elliott.

I'm basically playing fantasy football but I reckon we do you know. Ideally. Two for each position. Not sure if we have anyone coming through. If not I still think if Firmino leaves we'd need someone to compete with Nunez for the striker position.Originally posted by Harv View PostDon't think we need another bloody attacker. With the squad players that's 28, (there is also Morton to potentially come back into that category) , IMO that is excessive, I would be happy to keep Gomez at 4th choice, I know he gets alot of stick on here but given the work needed in midfield I don't see the point of that. Also I don't know that we need another attacker, I suspect that like Diaz was Mane's replacement 6 months ahead of time Gakpo is probably Firmino's (different type of player though). Also I would only say we need 3 midfielders if Keita goes, I don't see giving Naby a new contract and signing 3 midfielders happening. Backup GK yes perhaps might need a better one than you are budgeting for as I suspect Kelleher might not stick around too much longer so that might need to be a 2nd choice rather than a 3rd.Originally posted by Pablo View PostJust messing around but I'd say the £200m Carragher suggested we need to spend is conservative if we want to properly rebuild the squad:

Also, if we got one or two goal scoring midfielders, we wouldn't need to keep buying so many strikers...Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostWith the squad players that's 28, (there is also Morton to potentially come back into that category) , IMO that is excessive, I would be happy to keep Gomez at 4th choice, I know he gets alot of stick on here but given the work needed in midfield I don't see the point of that. I fully accept the need for a squad refresh, but I am really concerned at the lack of ideas regarding reorganising how we currently play to minimise our very obvious deficits. We have got to stop conceding so easily. If parking the bus and hoofing it to Salah and Nunez meant top four, I would go with that. The lack of midfield pace doesn't work with our high defensive lineAkloppalypse Now !
