Yeah, now way are our issues purely personnel issues.

The thing is, the style had to change because opponents all started low blocking a team that was one of the best in the world.

In klopps first 3-4 seasons this wasn’t the case and a lot of goals came from more even games where LFC would score on the counter or after a counter press.

Most teams have no interest in having the ball against this Liverpool side until there is a counter attack opportunity.

The quick and creative passing around the box is lacking when opponents get 10-11 men behind the ball and crowd the box.

I get that, but isn’t that something that you’d hope to change game to game, or in-game if things aren’t working, subs and a change of formation, the old plan b? Feels like we’ve thrown the baby out with the bath water.

CB: VVD / Konate / Matip / New CB

FB: Trent / Ramsey / Robbo / Tsimi

          DM: Fab / New DM

CM: Thiago / Naby / Henderson / New CM / New CM

FW: Mo / Nunez / Diaz / Gakpo / Jota / New backup striker

Squad players: Curtis, Harvey, Carvalho, Bajcetic.

Out: Adrian, Gomez, Phillips, Ox, Milner, Firmino (we'd basically get no transfer fees for this lot).

I'd say we'd need £300-400m for that lot realistically.
We only need a backup keeper if Kelleher goes, surely? Adrian more than capable as 3rd choice?

I wouldn't be distraught about both Gomez and Big Nat moving on, but similarly think both are good enough to be 3rd/4th choice

A new DM for sure, but can't see us replacing the entire midfield 3 at the same. 1x DM and 1x CM for me Clive

Another attacker is at the bottom of the priority pile for me
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

I think that we are all avoiding looking for excuses, but the injuries to Jota and Diaz, have clearly meant we have had to go all in on Nunez playing every game whereas with LD and DJ being fit we would have options.

The worry for me is that the issues may be at the other end of the pitch. We need someone to cover/challenge Fabinho.

Potentially yea, but I feel like that transition from a counter attacking team to a team that dominates possession and field position so strongly was done well for a few seasons but never quite to the level of man city.

Their play is maybe more intricate around the box and I think with Silva and De Bruyne, they have players who can go past men from midfield in tight spaces as well as be a threat with a shot from distance.

I can’t really see that in most of the starting mids in this squad. Sometimes it feels like they were/are too reliant on mane or salah to do this all the time and then it becomes a bit predictable. Absolutely no data to back up that though, just some thoughts from observing.

We have got to stop conceding so easily. If parking the bus and hoofing it to Salah and Nunez meant top four, I would go with that. The lack of midfield pace doesn't work with our high defensive line

Seems like the entire squad have collectively 'chucked it'

Boasting about our intensity (to the extent that it is what defines us) in a book and it instantly leading to a massive downturn in our intensity.

We’ve gone from the best team in the world and best run club three years ago to where we are now. A team without an identity, aging squad and clearly unrest behind the scenes with people leaving
