Thanjk you.

Might as well give Ox a chance in midfield! Gotta better than Elliott.
More demands on him in that central role. I think we forget how demanding our midfield used to be, when it was functioning properly, they fill the gaps of Robbo and Trent when they bomb forward... and frankly Ox simply doesn't have the legs for that.
The whole team needs a reshape... that's for Klopp to work out. Perhaps two up top and 4 in midfield with a double pivot, i don't know... but its pointless thinking about it as it won't ****ing happen anyway.
Cody Gakpo is not going to solve any of the real problems the team is experiencing, every one stemming from a midfield which is not fit for purpose, and is barely midtable worthy (if that) based on current performances.
It's daft to say that all our issues are with the midfield. Defence was absolutely shocking in the last game and both Mo and Darwin have been very wasteful up top.
The whole team was ****e.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what Gakpo can bring and how Klopp develops him. He seems to know where the back of the net is at least!
I also read that he can play in any of the front three positions which will be useful.

Totally agree. Despite the team misfiring terribly Nunez has still had more shots at goal than anybody else. If Gakpo can convert a few chances that we aren’t taking at present we’ll be better off.

Somebody capable of scoring outside the box will be a bonus too.
Not a MOTM performance from all accounts but an assist in his first outing isn’t a bad return I’d say. He’s only had 2 training sessions before today , and playing in a misfiring side so all in all not too bad hey.
Agree with above, once he realises that to play in a Klopp team means lots of closing down (not that we have seen that this year) he will be ok. Looked a bit shocked at the pace & physicallity TBH, but on only 1st game out & 2 sessions with the team. For the 1st half looked as though he had no idea what positions to take up to suit the team, again understandable.
Robbo & Konate need to rough him up a bit in training hahaha.
I'm sure he ll do just fine but pace and intensity which is the main thing missing from this squad... we will not get from him.
Cant wait for you to bring this up after every game.

He could do with watching some footage of prime Mane/Robbo. He kept drifting in field which threw the shape a bit. A solid if unspectacular debut.
robbo could do with watching it too
i think gakpo was drifting infield because nunez drifts wide a lot
