Apart from obvious lack of identity, slow, turgid football and difficulty in finding tactical solutions.. we look unfit imo. I don't know if I'm so used to seeing us play swashbuckling, high pressing, exciting football over the Klopp years that this seems almost pedestrian. Now I don't know if this "control" based approach which clearly hasn't been working will benefit us in the 2nd half of the season (time will tell) but we seem to die a death in the 2nd half of games & we seem to concede a hell of alot of chances after 60/70 mins or so. It seems in most games we are under the cosh towards the end and the lads looks bolloxed and all over the shop.

the issues still seem to be numerous. But the majority lie with the coaching team - the squad is better than the performances have been.
Modifying post.

Our opponents don't look like they're expending more energy than us, if anything they'll be stronger second half of the seasonOriginally posted by danperkins View PostApart from obvious lack of identity, slow, turgid football and difficulty in finding tactical solutions.. we look unfit imo. Agree with the last few posts.
It’s like the opposition are waiting for that 60-70 minute knowing that’s when to get at us as they can’t offer anything more after that and the team struggles under a bit of pressure.
I’ve said it before but when so many players lose form in such a big way and only a few could be considered to be having good seasons with the quality available it’s on the coaching.

It’s tiring watching this ****, never mind playing… like what has been said before, I’m not sure what we are about anymore, from heavy metal mentality monsters to backstreet boys with ADD… it’s boring AF. I mean surly this is not what Slot wants, it was nice to see Frimpong talking about the team working of patterns and shapes and still getting to know each others game but f’in’ell, we are half way through the season now and yesterday was utter wank, so slow and predictable in build up, no intricacy in or around the opponents box, poor pressing, positioning, fitness levels…… the list goes on. I really wish we had kept Diaz and sold Gakpo, waste of space imho, not sure what the solution is, more players? Where does that stop? I’m sure Slot will get the full season no matter what, but top 4 is imperative.

Couple of others have said it too but I don't think our play was all that slow yesterday. Looked like they were playing as quick as they could against the block. Wirtz, ekitike, Jones, bradley were all trying quick moves... they just came to zero.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostIt’s tiring watching this ****, never mind playing… like what has been said before, I’m not sure what we are about anymore, from heavy metal mentality monsters to backstreet boys with ADD… it’s boring AF. Until we have proper talent in the wide positions, and allow overlaps then this is it... 70% possession and no genuine chances.

I think as long as we are in the hunt for the top for he'll be here for the rest of the season. I think to be here beyond this season he really needs to turn the performances around as well and at present I don't see that happening. I suspect he leaves at the end of the seasonOriginally posted by kingfunk View PostIt’s tiring watching this ****, never mind playing… like what has been said before, I’m not sure what we are about anymore, from heavy metal mentality monsters to backstreet boys with ADD… it’s boring AF. I have posted a fair bit about the drop off after and hour or so I think it is due to a number of factors:Originally posted by peterbread View PostAgree with the last few posts.

1) Lack of fitness
2) Lack of squad depth - we bring on subs and inevitably weaken the side
3) Fear of conceding and not being able to get back in the game, and general mental weakness
4) The general low block sides trying to win it if the scores are level
5) Our sitting back and not looking for another goal if we are ahead and/or having no threat on the breakThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Not exactly a fair comparison when the 2024 referred to started in August 2024 and 2025 is a full year. We all know this season has been **** and there has been a huge drop in form.Originally posted by Irishnev View Post1 loss in 2024
