It’s pretty hard to avoid the fact that we have the opportunity to win the League this year. City and Arsenal are dropping points and we look relentless. Of course it could all change but I think we will be there or there about. We also look like we have improvements in us as an attacking force but defensively we look very, very solid and that offers further hope. Only conceding 6 in 11 games is phenomenal.

Slot has been rotating where he can and the depth we have looks good. Will be interesting to see if we have anyone lined up in Jan, but again we arent exactly short with Harvey, Allison, Chiesa and Jota due back.


Feels reminiscent of the year we won it in that we went on a phenomenal run up to Christmas and I think that the next 2 months will be where we really start to see if we have what it takes.

Hard not to be getting a bit excited and carried away and whereas the ‘one game at a time’ mantra is perfect for players - the look forwards and dream outlook is where it’s at for us.

We have been brilliant but it's still very early. The games will come thick and fast and if we were to have a bad week where we were to, say drop 5 points in 2 games, then all of a sudden 3 months of hard work could be undone very easily. Slot has been class but we will really see how good he is when we are faced with that kind of scenario.

That all said, if we were to win our next league game away to Southampton and then go on to beat Man City at home on the 1st of December, then it will be very hard to keep calm

City have Spurs next. If they drop points there and we beat Southampton we are in a very good place going into the game against them.

It's a good start obviously we need to keep it going. Salah has been one of the key players and last couple of years his form has dipped 2nd half of the season really hope that doesn't happen again as the other forwards while on could for at the moment can be patchy and Jota has injury concerns.

My other concern is fighting on 4 fronts again which really takes it out of you. Our squad depth isn't great so a couple more injuries particularly medium to long term or if the happen un the wrong positions in the squad could be an issue.

Keep players fit and manage the squad sensibly we will be there or there abouts, need to press home our advantage early on though and use squad as much as possible to keep people fit

The Brighton result yesterday makes me think we will win the league by 10+ points. As Buzzo said, this has overtones of 19-20, and I think we are going to go on a great run to Xmas while Arsenal and City still struggle

I think our next five are a wee bit brutal as well - Soton, Madrid, City, Newcastle and then the blue****e.

I think City will go big in January so any additional buffer between now and the 1st jan would be great

Brutal? 2/5's of those are two of the worst teams in the league and the Madrid match probably doesn't matter that much.

Newcastle hitting form isn't ideal for us, but rather it be them than City who are the form team.

Drat. But like RedReet said it's against one of the weaker teams (they're no Bournemouth or Brighton right now). Also, thankfully, it's a game after an international which is on a Sunday. That's unique for us.

And even more reason to rest everyone against Madrid.
